[Champion Concept] Ankyel, The Blizzard Weaver

Hello, I was absolutely bored with current state of LoL (tank meta, crappy exp system in jungle, balance changes made around ADCs, etc.) so I was thinking to myself: what kind of champion I’d love to play? And I’m not speaking about playstyle, nor position (but as I had fun only as a jungler, you may guess it’s a jungler) but about archetype. I’ve always been into Ice, but ice often is connected with mages or tanks. I do not enjoy mages, nor tanks! I love daggers! Sooo, there’s my champion concept. I can’t set up base stats for him, neither the abilities numbers so it’s kinda blank. I’ll talk about playstyle and favoured itemization later.

Melee!

Passive: Icy Boost Increases Attack Speed on slowed enemies by 50/75/100% of the slow for its duration. (Yes, any slow possible, even their owns like Blitz W side effects, etc.)

Q: Cold Glare range: melee Deals X (+ X AD) physical dmg. Debuffs an enemy champion with a paralyzing sight. Enemy can’t use any dash, blink or speed up ability, neither any items for X sec duration. Target’s also unable to use any kind of portals or lanterns (I don’t know how to call it properly. It blocks any movement tool which player has to click on, to use it – For example: Ryze R works on afflicted champ, but he can’t use lantern, nor Bards portal, etc.)

W: Mind Freeze range: melee Deals X (+ X AD) physical dmg. Also stuns the target for 0.5 sec. If Mind Freeze interrupts a channel or cast, creates Icy Vortex around target that deals aoe magical X (+ X AD; + X AP) dmg per sec and slows enemies in the aoe for x %, lasts X sec.

E: Icicle Crash (it’s the fun one) range: about 750. Throws an icicle at the location dealing X (+ X AP) magical dmg in its path. If it hits an enemy champion it stucks in his body. Icicle lasts for X sec, melting faster if stuck in enemy. Icicle leaves Frost Path on its… path. You can store up to 2 Icicles at a time. When Icicle reaches its destination you can right click it to badassly slide towards it dealing X (+ X AD) physical dmg to champions and monsters on your path (You can’t interrupt a slide by your own but you can throw second Icicle mid-slide). If sliding towards an icicle stuck in enemy body, you become untargetable for the duration (still being able to throw another Icicle though) and roots target at the crash for X sec dealing slide dmg only to this target. Icicles doesn’t shatter after the slide, but you can slide to each only once. Frost path – Slows enemies for X % and speeds you up for X %.

(Icicles are slow projectiles – think about Morganas Q, maybe a really little bit faster, but with lower range and hit width. Slide on the other hand supposed to be fast – not Dash fast, but faster than the projectile. Enemies with Icicle stuck in, are affected by Frost Path indeed. You can throw an Icicle through terrain, but you can slide to it only if it stucks in enemy. Don’t know about slide cooldown yet, it’s probably necessary, but not a long one – 2/1.5/1 sec maybe.)

ULTIMATE: Cryomancer self cast Imbues caster with Frozen Blood. Next 3 auto attacks against you stucks an Icicle into attacker (max. 1 per enemy). While Cryomancer is active you gain slow immunity, some resistances and leave Frost Path behind you (not too long though). Lasts for X sec or until third Icicle is thrown.

This Champion is a a masked weird looking man (his body looks kinda distorted, you seems to see his bones here and there through the rugged clothes he wears, theres an icy mist around him, etc.) He wields two icicle daggers. Also he's not the talkative one. As for items I see him mostly as AD assassin, but AS items seems perfectly viable as well as fun AP builds. I believe he needs some work to be balanced, etc. And I’d love to have an opportunity to participate in polishing this kind of a champion.
