So the idea is for an epic skin for everyone's favorite tentacle monster.

I think we can all agree that this guy needs a properly badass skin. The fact is I haven't felt really dangerous in a Vel skin since "battlecast" and that was his first one.

We can change this!

So here's the pitch:

Dungeon Boss Vel'koz is a skin with changed animations, and modified voiceover to make him sound less cold and calculating and more enraged and insane. The inspiration comes from the fabled Beholder of Dungeons and Dragons fame, and so the way he moves should change to suit the homage. His tentacles, recast as eyestalks should alternate between floating above his central eye and flailing about wildly, and thus his center of gravity is focused in a more upright fashion as he moves. The biggest changes to the core character would be the addition of a mouth full of teeth and an elasticity of motion that exaggerates and intensifies his actions making him a joy to watch as he disintegrates and disrupts the enemy team.

I like the idea of his energy attacks being black with a white highlight but I also think a multicolored array of attacks complete with particles and radiation would be spectacular.

Additionally, I feel this could open up a line of "dungeon monster" skins to oppose the fantasy adventurers that already exist. You could promote the whole thing like it was a Dungeons and Dragons game being set up in some guy's basement showing rough sketches of the monsters and dungeons with treasure. If you wanted to go even bigger you could include a special event like the recent Star Guardians adventure only with a dungeon full of dangerous traps and monsters. Naturally, there would be epic loot to reward completion.

I've included a link to my own concept doodle for reference.

What do you think?

Wow, that's pretty good, but I feel like it might be just a little empty. Perhaps adding some armor or scales like those that are present on regular Vel'Koz would be a little better; give it stronger form and a more menacing appearance; angles are menacing!

Also, I think you could get away with making the mouth even a bit more larger than you give yourself credit for.

That's all I have to say, very nice work my dude.
