Will they ever even think about changing Teemo?

I heard that they don't or can't change him because of the community, the basically have come to like him as a mascot. How mad will people get if he does get changed, and can we nerf him or something? Teemo is a bad day itself, if you're a top melee against Teemo might as well call it gg and go afk.
