Special Event Skins DECREASING

So I've been noticing that through the years there has been a whole lot less skins being released for special events. I just realized that the two new Blood Moon Skins are going to be for Lunar Revel, TWO SKINS that's it? Why is there only two skins for lunar revel this year? There are so many really good concepts for skins and you guys (Riot) aren't using them. These holidays is a time for celebration and to party it up on the rift, two skins doesn't seem like a party at all. Who is behind the skin department cause i wanna know why is it every year there are less skins being made during these holidays to be all festive? Is there anybody on the team that is like me who would say "Lets make 6 skins this year ladies and gentlemen" cause it doesn't seem like there is.

Lunar Revel 2012 had 4 skins, 2013 had 5, 2014 had 3 and 2 of them were legacy. Harrowing 2010 had 6 skins, 2011 had 4, 2012 had 3, 2013 & 2014 had 2. Snowdown 2009 had 5 skins, 2010 had 7, 2011 & 2012 had 4, 2013 & 2014 had 3.

Whats going to be next? Is 2016 Lunar Revel & Harrowing 2015 going to have only one skin that's going to be a legacy too!!! I know quality beats quantity but seriously I know you guys can do better and have both, is three skins for every holiday to much to ask cause that seems like a fair number to me.

LOL. Those aren't at all the Lunar Revel skins. They are already in the game and yes, cannot be unlocked but the Lunar Revel isn't till February... they wouldn't hold them off that long as they will be out during the current patch (4.21). There'd be like at least 2 more patches till the Lunar Revel. Plus the fact is the Bloodmoon Skins are Japanese inspired and the Lunar Revel is based around the Lunar New Year which is a Chinese Event.

Keep in mind a couple things. The Harrowings and Showdowns from 2013 and 2014 brought back ALL of the skins from the vault, when they wouldn't have been re-released normally. There were also three Harrowing skins for 2014, Soroka's came late.

Yes I too would like 10 skin recolors instead of 2 skins with new particles, recall animations, new splash art and sounds.

There also might be a min skin for the revel this year

The number of skins has decreased, but the quality has increased.

Plus, releasing too many new legacy skins at a time is a strain on the wallet if you happen to like all of them.

The other part that is missing from your analysis is that Riot is also working on Reworks. The sion Rework alone is a lot of work and practically a new champ with a whole list of skins. While they aren't as blank as a new champ with new skins its pretty damn close. They are working on updating models which take time away from making skins.

Also I'm not sure why they have to rush out skins just for events? I'm fine with what they are doing now. They are quality skins and not just recolors. It lets them put out more next year and not overloading the skin market. If they released 5 skins every event there would be way to many skins overall. It would be a lot of work for them with diminished returns. If 40% of the community buys the 3 skins of this snowdown (Just the 3 new ones) and 40% would buy 5 skins if 2 more were added Riot is techinically getting diminishing returns. They aren't making as much off of 5 skins as they are 3.
