Reworking Yasuo "The Unforgiven"

Hey fellow Summoners, to start it all, I would like to mention that I truly love Yasuo, and that is why I am asking for a Rework. Yasuo came out in 12/13/2013, and since his release date, he has not been changed in terms of his kit. Although I am a Yasuo main, I can say only for myself, that Yasuo has been getting boring to play around in the rift lately. Everything about him is just the same, the only thing that changed around in those years were only the items that were bought on him. Now, I do not say Yasuo is not fun anymore, its just that he is not the same as he used to be for me.

I can not only complain in this letter, and this is why I have an idea I want to share with you of how I think Yasuo should be changed: -Yasuo will no longer have the part of the passive which doubles his Critical Strike. Yasuo will have 2 modes, just like Nidalee, Jayce, Elise and etc: -First mode, will be his fists and feet only. This mode will provide him mostly with Mobilty, because I think that Yasuo currently does not use his feet too much. This mode will have his own kit, with some new sets of skills.

  • Second mode, will be his Katana (I see it as a Katana). Katana, is a two-handed weapon, so I think he should have a mode which his Katana takes a huge part in it. This mode will be focused about his Katana Strength, and not mainly about Mobilty.

Before I go on with the modes, I do have a cool idea for his shield. The shield will no longer have to be full to work, and will work at all stages of his regeneration.

Now, I will explain some of my Idea about his new kits: First, the Fist mode: -Shield passive will scale with movement speed Yasuo gains throughout the game, but will regenerate in the same curve (the movement speed does not effect the regeneration of his shield, only simply his movement). This means, that if a Yasuo player decides to focus on building movement speed throughout the game, his shield only in the Fist mode will be bigger than the shield in his Katana mode, but will regenerate the same in both modes (the regeneration throughout the game will get bigger in a linear curve - based on Yasuo's level). Another thing that might be useful, is that Yasuo will gain movement speed passively based on his level.

-Q ability will be changed into something that can be used to Creep Score. For an example, his Q ability in Fist form will be a jump in the air and landing closely to where he jumped from (similar to Aatrox Q ability).

-W will be changed into something that will allow Yasuo to block skills (similar to Fiora's W), and he will use his fists and wind to do so.

-E will be changed into something that can make Yasuo create an airborn for himself, but it will be extremely diffuclt skill shot to hit, and it will include his legs. This can be also used to Creep Score in laning phase. For an example, this skill will look like Yasuo is doing a Back Handspring into a Champion, only it can only be channeled.

-R- the Ultimate will be the same, only now the Ultimate will change Yasuo mode alternatly.

Before I go on to the Katana mode, I will mention that the modes can be picked at the beginning of the game, and can only be changed every 1-3 minutes (does not have to be in the base to do so), excluding the Ultimate (which transforms the mode when used).

Katana mode: -The shield in his passive will scale with Attack Damage/Health (I can not decide which), and as I said before the regeneration will be linear and will upgrade based on Yasuo's level. Does not affect shield in Fist mode. Another useful thing in his passive can be that Yasuo will gain Health/Attack Damage passively based on his level.

-Q ability can be used also for Creep scoring, and Yasuo will use both of his hands for it. The Q ability will be similar to the current Q ability, only now the cut will not be straight, but diagonal, and will reduce opponent's armor and magic resist by slight portion. The cooldown will be pretty high, and the cut range will be a bit bigger than the current cut range of Yasuo.

-W ability will again be a defensive skill, and the main thing about this ability is that it can be also used to creep score in mid game to late game. This skill, will include Yasuo hitting the ground with his Katana, and after a short delay a Wind from "above" will hit the ground in a circular shape and will make a small earthquake, that will slow hostiles by 40-60% (based on skill level) for 1.5-3 seconds (also based on skill level) and will deal damage to surrondings.

-E ability will be a gap closer, which in it yasuo can slash with his katana the air, that will give him after a short duration something similar to a Nimbus (in Dragonball series), that will drag him few inches in the rift. It can also be used to escape.

-R ability will stay the same, except as I said before, will change Yasuo mode immediately without a need to press the change button.

I truly, with all my heart hope you will read in to this and answer to my idea. I also can agree that it sounds really unbalanced, but it can be balanced with cooldowns, durations, scaling and base damage.

He hasnt changed because he doesnt need to, ability updates are for champs who need them not for a thrill.

Abx like ZG said this is a whole new champ.
