Client tab idea: Community guides

Picking up league can be tough, no doubt and even with the addition of Beginner bots new players will still not be familiar with roles, masteries and how to build and what to build. No doubt we've all turned to a youtube video once in a while to learn this game and I feel like this should be implemented into the client.

Calling it Community guides where Riot could commission/use people like Pants are Dragon, Redmercy, foxdrop etc and put some of their videos in a tab. These videos could range from beginner knowledge or Specific character guides. I feel like this will make League more inviting to new players.

This is a pretty good idea, and it can help new players get into the game, casual or not.

Which means Riot likely won't add it.

It'd be nice if a subsection of boards was added for guides, too.

Or even a general chat was added for your region like Dota has

Wow, this is a good idea. They could put champion spotlights there as well.

Seems nice, starting LoL is tough as early you have to learn a lot of new stuff.

I gotta say: In the beginning, I had no idea what a jungler was or did, because bot games very seldom have junglers. Usually it's 2 top, 2 bottom, 1 mid (in a bot game). So, graduating from bot games to Blind was a real loop to be thrown for. There was a whole position I didn't know jack about. XD

It only took a few games to understand what a jungler was, and I only had to ask once what was meant by "adc" pffft - I was the adc and didn't know, because it was just a set of letters, at first. But it would have been nice if, for example, there was a quick guide to common acronyms? (i.e.: adc - usually a marksman, but usually not Teemo or Graves. Stands for "attack damage carry." idek ... why isn't Teemo usually up for adc, honestly?)

Upvote for this one. Good idea! [slayer-jinx-catface]
