The glove was hard, Ill admit it was very hard. But if you know what medium you are working with, it changes the way you approach the armor. For me I used EVA foam in 1/4th inch thickness. the finger tips where hard to form but with trial and error I got them. I also got a glove that went up a good portion of my arm (just below the elbow) and used Barge cement to adhear the foam after I prepped it and painted it. That pretty much made it a part of the fabric. The easiest way to do the part over the thickness of your hand is to actually do the plastic wrap and masking tape/duct tape. marking out the design on your hand, cutting it off your hand at a place where you wont show often (for me it was the palm of my hand) and using that as a template to make. I make all my foam first with poster board as a paper mock up just to see where ill need adjusting. this is where you will also determin how you are going to get it off and on your body. for the fingers they where glued to a glove, but the thickest part of the hand where fastened with velcro that made it easy for me to remove it since foam is pretty hot to wear. the upper arm part I pretty much looked up " how to make foam gauntlets" and blended like 4 tutorials to get what I wanted done. A lot of my foam questions got answered by Evil Ted on youtube. Seriously, he makes foam armor look soo easy. and hes easy to follow.
As far as that, I'd say just make mock ups on paper, adjust it till it looks good for you and experiment. Always looking up tutorials helps tons. I prefer to use foam which is a harder material to work with in the terms of shaping to the body. Worbla might be easier to build if you can afford it and know how to use it. Pretty much just go into it and experiment. look at tutorials, replicate out of paper use that creative mind and see where it goes.
