Umbras, the shadow puppeteer
My idea for a shadow isles mage with a puppet theme and two stances.
Passive: Mist puppets/ seamstresses agony Upon starting the game, backing or, respawning, she gains 1/1/2/3 puppets that interact with her abilities, and have health that scale with level and ap(This passive is on a short cooldown of somewhere like 30 seconds). They can be controlled with alt right click, by first clicking on the puppet you wish to move if you have more than. Otherwise, they will move only to stay within a certain range of Umbras, and if for whatever reason they can't keep up(likely due to cc) they disanimate and disappear. Upon all puppets being dead or disseminated, she gets all new abilities and enters seamstresses agony, gaining highly increased stats and movement speed for a short time.(the bonus stats are on a 120-second cooldown, the gaining of the new abilities have no cooldown)
Q: Crazed puppets/strings of death sends out her puppets in one to three different lines, similar to TF's W, but they have invulnerability frames, and the dash is very quick and the travel halfway back once it hits a champion or its max range. They pierce minions, dealing damage, and stop at champions, legendary monsters, or max range, dealing 1.5 times the damage in a small area around them.( a champion gets hit by both instances of damage) and an enemy can only take damage once during the casting of the ability. In her second stance, she flings our magic puppet strings, dealing damage in a cone and slowing all enemies hit. This would be her bread and butter skill in puppet stance, so a low cooldown would be necessary.
W: Mist of the aisles/ needle works In her puppet stance, all her puppets spread out to random locations in front of her and become invisible and un-targetable for the duration of the spell and she sends out a medium sized cloud of mist that acts similarly to graves smoke bomb but it moves. if an enemy champion gets too close to any of the puppets, that puppet activates, losing both invisibility and un-targetability, but lashing out lashing out, dealing good damage and knocking the target back. However, if the target has walked through the mist, the puppets won't activate. But, if Umbras reactivates her W within a brief window of casting, the puppets instead dash towards and travel in the cloud and any champion that enters activates ALL the puppets inside, dealing massive damage, knocking them out of the mist, and blinding them. This would be her signature ability and give her her identity as a strong high skill cap control mage. This ability would be great for zone control and mind games. it would need to have a longer cooldown though. In the seamstress stance, she causes magic needles to rain down randomly in a zone in front of her, dealing damage and rooting and applying one stack of stitching stitching(see E). This would affect everything but allied structures and champions. If it hits an enemy structure, it deals half damage. If a needle hits an allied minion, they die immediately if they aren't a cannon or super minion. Same things about cooldown and usage.
E: Theatrics/ got your tongue. Puppet stance: disanimate a puppet and gain some health and mana over time. Note this can't trigger the stat bonuses from seamstresses agony. Got your tongue: sends out a needle skill shot that deals damage and applies stitching. Stitching lasts for 4 seconds and acts similarly to a silence. You can still cast abilities, but if you do, you are stunned and take damage, based on how many stitches you have on you. At four stitches, all stacks immediately detonate. this is her main seamstress skill, while theatrics is mainly for overtime lane sustain and adding extra thought to the charecter.
R: Unravel/Cloth coffin. Puppet stance: severs ties with all but one puppet(gives the effect of theatrics). you then overcharge that puppet and send it running forward. after a 2.5 second delay, you deal damage in a large area and root enemies. however, if they are at the center of the blast, they take massive magic damage and are unraveled(executed) if they are below a health threshold. this also gives the effect of seamstresses agony, whether or not it's on cooldown. Seamstress stance: you send enchanted cloth flying towards target champion, temporarily stealing control of them. They also gain three stacks of stitching. at the end of the duration, they are launched out, taking damage and adding a final stack of stitching, detonating all stacks. Because of the sheer power of both these ultimates, they would be on extremely long cooldowns.
strengths and weaknesses: high damage and control over the battlefield, but no escape, incredibly low tank stats, long cooldowns, the enemies ability to force you out of puppet stance if you let them die, and the need for planning and high skill cap and difficulty help balance her out.
