The Nearsmite

In the vein of the Utility Smites Post that is also in this section of the boards, I decided to make a separate post talking about one particular idea for a new smite that I had in mind. It's called the Nearsmite, a play on words between the Nearsight debuff and Smite. It would build from a renamed version of the old Tracker's Knife, called Shiv of the Evening Twilight.

Shiv of The Evening Twilight

  1. 1000 Gold
  2. 10% Lifesteal from Monsters
  3. Unique Passive - Nearsmite: Smite can be cast on enemy wards, instantly killing them and replacing them with an allied ward, refreshing the duration of the ward. If smite is cast on a control ward, the ward is executed, and the surrounding area is revealed for 1.5 seconds, revealing all nearby enemy wards in a 1000 radius, but not leaving another ward. When a ward is smited, your next Smite will deal [40-200] reduced true damage to Large Monsters and Epic Monsters (does not stack). As with the other jungle items, it would also contain the Tooth/Nail passive.

I had an idea to include a new enchantment involving an Aegis of The Legion, but I couldn't really find a proper way to execute on that without raising the point of "cinderhulk exists for tanks, and why would you get something like that for a non-tank champion."

Let me know what you think!
