THE BATTLE: Meta(the pros do it) vs what you're good at

Hey again guys this time i wanna bring up a discussion that is as old as rank play. I wanna know peoples honest opinion on playing the meta op or what you know how to actually play.

on one hand if something is op and its (freelo) does that really mean everyone or even most people should learn it?. the meta always changes and what is op can always turn to garbage on your keyboard. Is it always better follow the crowd?

On the other hand their are people that one trick or just play what they are good personally im on this side I'd rather play what im good at and know i can carry rather than try to learn every "meta" thing and keep up with the crowds. I always feel its easier to carry at what you actually know.

Let me know every ones opinion on the matter Ciao [sg-ahri-2]

imo, the meta is defined by a few things. It is defined by a champion's ability to work in a coordinated environment, and the champion's performance in a non-coordinated environment. Some people win playing what they're good at (i.e. Banana Soraka ADC Botlane) and others go with the meta because it provides the simplest method of victory.

Honestly, I think you should play what you're good at but keep the meta in mind. Just because it's meta doesn't mean it's perfect in every scenario, that just means it has a higher winrate than other tactics. If there is something that works every single game, then it's broken and usually gets nerfed.

PLAY THE META IT MAKES YOUR TEAM LESS TILTED. If you one trick a one bar champion play the meta and play tons and tons of one bar champions if you one trick riven pick up fiora too and stomp everyone collectively One tricks need a second champ to counter their one trick and counters of their one trick XD SO SIMPLE! YET IM SILVER 5 AND SUICIDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
