Summoner Loyalty. Just some ideas

So this is my first time writing a post on any forum whatsoever, so any feedback is appreciated. Now, on to what we came here for.

I've played a lot of games in my lifetime and one thing that's always stood out to me is the difference between games that honor their players and those that don't. What I mean is games that take the time to read the forums, give back responses, reward the loyalty of those who continue to support the game, and remember the fundamentals of games; that people play them for fun (mostly). Now what I'm proposing is something that I appreciated in other games and would be happy to see implemented in League of Legends as well. One idea is that of doing something for the game's anniversary. Now what I'm talking about is some games will give the player free items, or a special icon or something of that nature and what I'm thinking is that if Riot implemented something like this it might further the relationship between players and developers. I'm thinking they could award like an IP boost for the whole day, or maybe even offer a free skin (with limitations of course, like an RP cap of 975). I'm grateful for what the devs have done so far and hope they keep up the great work, but I just hope that I can help try and make a great game even greater.

Now, what are your thoughts on it?

Rewards beyond free updates, free stuff from rank tiers, and constant balance changes?

You should look at it the other way round. They provide content, spending hours upon hours doing so, and we reward them with money. They are giving this content to you for free after all, that's enough of a reward in my book.

I agree completely that Riot is great at what it does. They already do so much for the players and put in so many hours to come up with great game modes, great champions, and fun ways to earn icons. Like i said in the post, I just wanted to give my two cents on how to make a great game even greater.

I'd say this would be an option if they were lacking in player feedback, which doesn't seem to be a case.

True, but it never hurts to show the fan base that you appreciate their continued support, whether they receive the feedback or not.

that people play them for fun (mostly)

try to stick to facts. Cause you are insulting most players right now. most people play to win

I wasn't trying to insult anyone. I was merely stating an idea that I had. If I offended anyone I apologize. That's the point of forums right? To bounce ideas off of each other and get different perspectives.

But you were not offering an idea. You were saying you know a fact when you do not.

Saying things like this is the best way to piss people off. It also makes your whole point mute. Why should i believe/listen anything you say when you throw out meaningless points of view that are just opinion.

I can safely say that most people(exuding trolls) play to win. It is a game and that is the objective of games/competitions. I have reason and a factual basis for this thought.

Please quote me where I specifically stated, "I know this as a fact". If not, please don't troll my page. Like I said, this is my first forum page I've ever done but I'm not blind to people being mean to be mean. If you have something constructive to say, say it and I'll take it into account. Otherwise, you're no better than those "trolls" that you mentioned that don't play to win.

I am not trolling i quoted you directly.

By using a statement like that and using it as a bases for your ideas, you are claiming it is a fact indirectly. You can not make claims that are your personal thoughts. This is bad debating and logic. Now you are using your own personal opinions(which you may or may not be qualified for) to suggest changing something in the game. This is weaker position and a short post like yours would not be bothered with.

You tried to bolster your idea through indirect claims of fact that were mere opinions. Everyone should of called you on it. But it has been shown mostly teenagers use these forums. (the polls have been done)

Though most people like you want riot to give them free things. You want to feel special and rewarded for playing the game.

I am not trolling you. I am calling you out though.

I never called you a troll. If you're going to call people out of stuff please at least be accurate. I said, and I quote, "If you have something constructive to say, say it and I'll take it into account. Otherwise, you're no better than those "trolls" that you mentioned that don't play to win." NO BETTER THAN THOSE "TROLLS" THAT YOU MENTIONED. I don't mind having having intellectual conversations with people who actually do their homework, but you have done nothing but contradict yourself this whole argument and try to pin the blame on me. I was merely stating an OPINION and you took the liberty of jumping down my throat. I will not be replying to this post again because it has completely gone off the original idea and has lost sight of the spirit of this post. Say you won the argument if that makes you feel better about yourself, I don't care. And before you start saying that I'm a teenager with nothing better to do, let me tell you about myself. I spent 2 years serving a mission in Portugal and am now fluent in Portuguese, I'm 23 years old and am currently studying in college to get a bachelors degree in Cyber-security. So yes, I'm young, but old enough to know when an argument is worth pursuing and when it's better to drop it and move on to better things. I hope you have a great day and learn to have fun while playing a game, because it seems like it's become more of a job for you than a form of entertainment.
