The splasharts are gorgeous. The composition of the illustration is on point, and then you just zoom in on the face of the skin and ruin it all. So I think riot should display the whole splash.

For instance, this group splash: https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/img/champion/splash/Amumu_8.jpg As you'll notice, in this one, Amumu is to the very far right, and Nasus is the on far left. With the profile page laid out like it is, Nasus would be blocked by the banner on the left of your page. So it's not exactly as feasible to use the whole splash in this case since it conflicts with the UI of the profile page.

They do not. I have several where the splash is refocused or zoomed in and it is not a shared splash. Fifth Age Taric immediately springs to mind.

So you ruin almost all of the backgrounds to make a few of them look better? Point?
Why not just only zoom in on the group splash arts?

Yes, because cropping takes a lot of time. Or better yet, just giving the options of either using the full splash art, or the champion select splash art is very hard.

Hear me out... They could just do that FOR THOSE SPECIFIC SPLASHES. Crazy idea right? Sorry for being kind of rude, but this soultion is extremely obvious. If riot can't make something as simple as that possible, they dug some kind of horribly coded client hole, and they're gonna have to lay in it.

Online's really the only option, because the skin tab shows most of it but darkens and blocks the left side of the image. I love all my details. Of course, I understand how that could be hard to do because you'd need to rework part of the client and that isn't a really high priority.

that as your back ground zoomed in to fit, or whatever. I think it'd create a lot of diversity + creativity. I also don't even think this would be hard to create. But, Riot Games has managed to prove consistently that they're a small indie company, so -shrug-
