You're not alone Amumu! (Skin Event)

After watching the recent music/lore video starring Amumu I was left crushed, heart broken and deeply worried for the livelihood of one of our dear champions. This honestly bothered me for a few days, I wanted to reach out to him, be Amumu’s Friend! It wasn’t until one of my friends set their in-game user status to “#FriendsForAmumu” that I had an epiphany! I realized that a positive could be obtained out of Amumu’s battle with immense sorrow.

On the news and other forms of media I have been constantly hearing of the loss of our youth to depression and suicide. I firmly believe Riot and the Gaming community is capable of bringing some light to this increasingly common tragedy in today’s youth.

I propose a charity skin event where select champions reach out to be Amumu’s friends, to help support him with his struggles and possibly ease his sorrow. A portion of the sales from the skins could be used to increase education/awareness on mental illness, depression, and suicide. Additionally the event itself would be promoting the act of reaching out to someone who may be in need(Amumu). The hashtag #FriendsForAmumu could also be used to promote the event throughout the gaming community.

I’d like to reinforce my belief that Riot and the gaming community as a whole could truly make a difference with this proposed event!

PS: I’m not overly artistic, I’m sure someone else could help me out on that end so the extent of my skin imagination so far is the select champions wearing Amumu T-shirts ( & Tibbers!, with an Amumu Shield)

EDIT: On Reddit user Jesterio suggested including a Summoner Icon for those who participate in the event, I agree this would be a great addition!

Very good idea with real world impact! I and, I believe, a lot of the community would love to support this. Any red out there think this could be a plausible as a Riot charity event?

Champions that would most likely try to reach out to Amumu: Annie Braum Jinx Alistar Galio Poppy Gnar Lulu Malphite Blitzcrank Orianna

As a bonus to Amumu, Galio, Malphite, Blitzcrank, and Orianna can't be killed by his dissolving flesh touch (as they have no flesh.)

It would indeed be awesome, however, the logistics behind doing this on the scale that would be required...would take a TON of work and coordination. Would it be worth while?...absolutely. Yet the reality of being able to pull it off in a timely manner (coordinating with the new Amumu work that just got released etc) would be very unlikely.

It might be more feasible for people like streamers etc, to tackle this and make it an event similar to the Child's play events and Extra Life events that happen once or twice a year. Keep this kind of thing in mind for when these events pop up...or...for those who feel the drive...feel free to set it up yourselves in conjunction with local charities.

If you really like Amumu then you'd let him be himself as a champion. He's not friendless because nobody likes him, he's friendless because the curse says he is.

I understand that the guy was trying to get people to take interest in an older champion but there's no reason to jump on the Amumu ban wagon since he got a song about him. That's just my opinion. Since I started playing League late season 4 (I know I'm not the seasoned veteran.) But Amumu was the second champion I got and started to play and I've almost collected all the Amumu skins except 2 Emumu and Little Knight. So if anyone has room to talk about Amumu I think i can. Sorry for the rant.
