I love the concept for sgt. jim. Very little lore would be needed as the champions lore can just be interpreted through the visuals. A lone worm, exiled from his tribe, jim wanted to find a purpose to live, so he joined the army. It leaves a lot up to the imagination, and allows the player to truly become one, with the worm. They will empathize with him and his struggles, rejoicing at his acceptance into the army, and later, his deployment into summoners rift. To make sgt. jim the gritty earthworm that we all know him to be, he would need an enemy to fight, and an ally to fight with. I would recommend the ally be rek'sai. She could teach him the most efficient ways to travel through sand, and they would become great pals. It also sends a good message, that even sgt. jim, the toughest of the bunch, needs friends. The enemy would be tahm kench. Being a demon of the river, he could pretend for it to be raining and lure jim up to the surface, before devouring him. sgt. jim doesnt need any abilities, his stature and confidence alone will leave even the choey of cho'gaths running for the void. I hope Riot listens to this concept, as this is a greatly needed addition to the roster.

Well, there are sentient worms in the Plague Jungle, but they don't exactly have a military. Also, it's canon that Wukong is the single strongest being from the Plague Jungle, so it'd be best if it was more of a support, tank or fighter that deals with numbers.
The worm could have mechanics based around it being made up of a colony of worms and being able to segment the colony and separate into multiples.
Like each ability could control a different segment instead of casting abilities.
I could help you out. I personally made more than 50 champion concept, have great mathematical knowledge and can balance kit easily. However, there are many troll, who dislike my champions without even looking at hem.
