For Rengar's rework, if he gets one, But mainly his Ultimate
So I was thinking a while back, and it seems like Rengar may be reworked a bit later this year. And it seems likely that most of it will focus on his ult, since the use of stealth can be really unfair, especially since it provides Rengar such a virtually unstoppable initiation. So, I came up with a possible replacement, that I think may be more fair and still maintain the essence of Rengar, possibly to a greater degree (tell me what you guys think, this is still pretty new, but I hope it gets considered)
So, essentially, my idea is to create an ult for Rengar that still allows him to do what he does now but without the unfairness that is inherent to stealth. This version is that, upon activation (possibly after a few seconds, like his current ult). He maintains the movement speed increase, and the ability to leap at enemies, but he doesn't have the invisibility anymore (the specific stats don't have to be the same though. What matters is the concepts) Now, more importantly, replacing Rengar's stealth would be the ability to climb and run along walls. Now, my idea was that upon casting his ult, he could climb up a nearby wall and run along it. When he's not on a wall his jump range is reduced below normal amounts (by like 50%, maybe?) unless he enters brush of course. When he's on a wall though, he has full leap range, maybe a little extra movespeed, and the ability to leap to walls within that range. All in all, this would allow him to move deep into enemy lines and take out that high priority target. And I mean, wouldn't it be epic to chase someone along walls, leaping from side to side before the ambush? This should also work on player made walls and it would interact with Rengar's passive well too.
But it also has counter play, luckily. When Rengar is on a wall, the enemy team has vision of him as long as they have vision of either side of the wall. If Rengar wishes to be concealed, he'll have to make his leaps over walls that conceal him, or from walls that are hidden behind brush. In addition, his ult will still have a limited amount of time, after which he'll fall off the wall. Also, if he is hit by an enemy champion or a turret, he'll be knocked off the wall into the far side, allowing enemies to try and keep him at bay. If he still has time, though, Rengar may then climb up another wall from brush (this way he can't just get back up immediately, and is hindered by a weaker form of his ult, but he isn't also rendered useless in one hit). As a side note, generating ferocity stacks and movespeed after his ult may be maintained too. It's just the stealth that gets reworked.
So, what do you all think?
