Suggestion on Ranking system

I would like to see the grading system have influence for ranked gaming to help good players rank up.

Example: Losing Team:
S = small increase in LP A = No LP loss B = standard LP loss C = more than the current system gives for a loss

Winning Team: S = Extra LP added to win A = Slightly more LP than standard B = Standard C = less than the standard LP

I believe this would help out many players stuck in the lower tiers to climb out, It would promote better game play for the team that is probably going to lose .I have had many games that I have gotten S's for but lost, it so frustrating that I get lumped in with the players that had 18 deaths while I only had 2.

I think this would be good for Bronze. Silver. and Gold only. Once you get past those, you will most likely be playing with people determined to win more. Lots of bronze and silver players I've played with don't really care about moving up in rank. They just play ranked cause its the popular choice.

I've seen many well played players stuck in these division because of the 10 game placement system didn't work for them. 10 is such a small sample size. I've won 15 games in a row, then lost 10 in row, it happens. I think this would help players have more control of their rank. It would be more individualized. As in someone padding S's, hopefully you can figure out of way around that, I for one have never padded for grade, I prefer to know my true performance plus i play support 98% of time.

You just need to work on getting better. I get what your saying but honestly at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Ranking up is about being able to consistently win more than you lose. You can win great or win ugly, but a win is a win.

Yes, it does feel shitty playing well and losing. But it happens to everyone time to time and is part of the game. But when you think about it, that's fine. Its great to have great stats but if you can't transition your lead into a win then do you really deserve to rank up? At the end of the day getting kills/assists etc. are great but none of that matters if you don't kill turrets/inhibitors/enemy nexus. Plus the mastery system can really be exploited quite easily. You can get an S (especially in lower elos) by simply farming the entire game and not really trying to help your team. Having feeders suck but if everyone was focused on their k/d/a rather than trying to win the game then games would be boring.

Your season 6 win % speaks for itself (43%). I had 3 accounts last season all in gold with over a 50% win percentage. Is that great? Fuck no. Was I boosted? Obviously not. Just means I on average play at a skill level that ranks me in the gold 3-4 range where I win 50-56% of my games over X number of games. 2/3 of the player base don't play consistently well enough to do this. Another 10-15% or so can get to gold and beyond with 60-90% win percentages on numerous accounts. They are just that consistently good.

Its important to look at your stats after a game but don't get fixated on it. Instead think more about what you could do to help ensure your team wins. Obviously getting kills and dying less help but it does not ultimately lead to victory unless you can use your gold lead to push an advantage over the enemy.
