Niro - The Lunar Duelist Melee Assassin

Niro is part of the Lunari tribe that Diana belongs to. He is a duelist, similar to Fiora. He is tall and slender with pale skin and silver hair. Niro would wear tight black garments, possibly with an eye patch or a hood or a mask. My main inspiration for the way he holds his rapier is Freya from Final Fantasy 9. The idea is holding his sword/rapier loosely to the side. His blade is rather simplistic. Just a long, thin, straight black or silver blade. The handle has no fancy decorations like a traditional Rapier. (Think… golf club without the head.)

His kit may seem confusing at first, but keep in mind that at most, each ability only has 4 major components: a passive, an active, an empowered passive (used during his ultimate), or an empowered active (used during his ultimate). Not all abilities have a passive component, but each ability does change slightly when his ultimate is active. I tried my best to keep all of the information organized without cluttering the descriptions.

Kit:

**Passive - **: WIP

Q - Moonlit Advance - 60 mana: Niro thrusts in target direction, dealing 40/65/90/115/140 (+0.5 AD) physical damage to all enemies hit. He can recast this ability to thrust back toward his original location, dealing 40/65/90/115/140 (+0.5 AD) physical damage to all enemies hit. Enemies hit by both casts are knocked up for 1 second. Enemies damaged by this ability are applied the Moonlight debuff.

Empowered: Magical energy from the moon thrusts with Niro, widening the area of effect. Enemies hit in the additional area are dealt 70/120/170 (+0.5 AP) magic damage while enemies within the base width are dealt 100/150/200(+0.5 AD) physical damage. Enemies hit once (from either cast) are knocked up for 1 second. Enemies hit by both casts are pushed along with Niro to his destination and slowed by 60% which decays over 2 seconds.

W - Lunar Parry- 50/60/70/80/90 mana: Passive: When Niro attacks enemies that have the Moonlight debuff, his attacks deal 15/20/25/30/35 (+.15 AP) magic damage on-hit and he gains 15% movement speed for 2 seconds. While empowered, this passive is disabled, but attacking enemies with the Moonlight debuff within 600 range causes Niro to blink to their location before attacking. Active: Niro creates a shield that blocks 75/150/225/300/375 (+0.25 AP) physical damage. Also, enemies who damage the shield are slowed by 10% (stacks up to 3 times) and gain the Moonlight debuff, revealing them for 3 seconds (Diana can use this moonlight for her ultimate). While empowered, Niro calls the power of the moon to smite any attacking enemy champions while the shield is active, dealing 15/25/35 (+0.35 AD)(+0.5 AP) magic damage each time the shield is damaged. 14/13/12/11/10 second cooldown

E - Moonshade - 70/80/90/100/110 mana: Niro enters stealth for 6 seconds (after a 2.5/2/1.5/1/0.5 second delay). If Niro casts Q while in stealth, he may direct the second cast in any direction, instead of returning to his original location (if the first cast does not hit an enemy and cancel stealth). Casting Q in stealth will not cancel stealth unless it hits an enemy minion, champion, or neutral monster. 20.5/19/17.5/16/14.5 second CD (Cooldown starts on activation).

R - Lunar Blade - 100 mana: Passive: Passively increases Niro's attack speed by 20/40/60%. Active: Niro points his blade to the moon, creating a link with it and empowering his blade. For 10 seconds, the passive attack speed from this ability is doubled, his basic abilities are empowered, and his auto attacks send lunar power in a line in front of him, dealing 20/40/60 (+0.2 AD)(+1.0 AP) magic damage to enemies in a 450 range line with a 50 unit width. (Similar to Cho's Vorpal Spikes. The missile speed is slower, however, and it is much thinner. The direction of the line is automatically calculated, like Evelynn's Q, but always pass through his basic attack target.). These strikes only apply on-hit effects to the enemy being targeted. 70/60/50 second CD.

Archived: (* R - Luna Strike: Dex points his blade to the moon and creates a link with it, instantly gaining 40/60/80 armor and magic resist for 8 seconds. After charging for 1.5 seconds, Dex unleashes a huge strike of lunar energy, dealing 250/350/450 (+1.0 AD)(+1.0 AP) magic damage to all enemies in a line (the skill is a progressive line. Not all at once like Lux, but progressive like Ezreal). 2500/3000/3500 range (200 units wide at base, growing up to 300 units at end of range). The visual of this skill is a huge silvery/blue streak from the ground all the way to the sky. 120/100/80 Second CD.*) -Added some notes about AP ratios at the end of the post.

6/25/2013 -Passive: Nerfed to 5/8/11/14 instead if 5/10/15/20. -Q: Buff now grants 20/30/40/50/60% armor penetration on next basic attack rather than 50/70/90/110/130 (+1.0 AD) bonus physical damage. -W: Added a passive component to create an interaction between Dex and the Moonlight debuff. -R: now deals damage to enemies in a line.

He gains up to 35/50/65/80% bonus attack speed based on his target's current attack speed. The attack speed bonus is applied immediately after his first basic attack on any given opponent and lasts 2 seconds or until he hits a different opponent. This bonus only applies when Niro is attacking enemy champions. (The % bonus scales like so: Theoretically, if his opponent had 0 attack speed, Niro would gain 0% bonus. If his opponent has maximum attack speed (2.5), Niro will gain a maximum 35/50/65/80% bonus to his attack speed. If his opponent has 1.25 attack speed (halfway between 0 and 2.5), Niro gains 17.5/25/32.5/40% attack speed, half of his maximum bonus. The bonus scales flatly between these values.)*) -Q: Added a slow to the empowered ability. -W: Changed from % damage reduction to a shield that blocks incoming physical damage.
