i dont mean to say they are bad, i just think it woud have been nice to get a fresh skin design

The skin was already called Shadow since....proverbial ages ago, and since she needed an update and Kayn was released with such a fancy and thematically fitting one then it only made sense to make it similar in tone.

Due to the shared name.

It was probably relatively easy to do and felt rewarding to the people who had the skin before.

And as for new skin concepts......it preferably has to be something that fits multiple champions while also looking good. This because it's harder to make individual skins for everyone since it takes more work whilst following a skinline gives them a guideline to follow.

And they have already made use of such with battlecast, project, archlight, star guardian, hextech, eternum and other skin lines.

Oh and the guardians of sand, and snowday.

And the Bloodmoon ones.

I don't think they have all that many concepts that fit a lot of champions left.

Then finally, immortal journey was pretty recent was it not?

They have added a lot, i think it would be greedy to ask for much more x)

You do understand that Kayn was released 4 months ago and they rarely ever release a new skin for a champion that new that fast. He won't see a skin till sometime in 2018, and on top of that, he will take a bit of extra time having multiple models to work with.

I was hoping for the Eve and Kayn skins too, even though I don't really play those champs lol.

I think the reason why they didn't go with those skins this year is because Eve just got reworked and Kayn was just released.

Eve got a great set of skins, they did 4 of her skins and her base, so I guess the skin team might be a bit tired of working on Eve, and probably wanted a new champ to work on? And I mean those skins are amazing, and cheap too, so I don't mind waiting a little bit to see Eve get a new skin.

Kayn just got released, and I'm sure if they did a skin for him so soon people would be complaining, "Oh what about Ivern, Taliyah, Illaoi, etc. who haven't gotten a skin yet since their release and yet this guy comes out and gets one? Wow talk about favouritism Rito!!!11!!!!1111!!"

But fingers crossed for next year! :)
