Co-op campaign with monthly (or so) realised chapters

I think a campaign mode for LoL as monthly event would be very fun, it could be endorsed with drops and the likes (with the new crafting system it can be easier). I like to wonder about using the champions of this game in an hack'n'slash kinda world, where i could experience the lore more directly and use their abilities in a totally different context. It would be also fun to meet the characters as npc and see what they look like outside the league. One of the great memories i have of the special modes of this game is the Doombot of doom Mode, because I like co-op and i think it's a nice thing to do when you feel like playing with your friends but you don't want to be competitive , but i also want to explore Runeterra in the best way i can imagine: through the game. (Sorry for the bad english.)

It could be done, with a couple models and abilityless NPCs. Might be scripting hell, but in the end, it would probably be worth it. They've already sort of did an NPC boss battle (Xerath, Ascension rotating game mode).

An idea of what would be possible is a village map with jungle creeps (Like the wolves, or Malzahar Voidlings as an example) all around it, and the players could choose from Garen or other demacians as a sort of squad sent to defend the village. Just spitballing here, but I think it'd be pretty damn cool.

The hard part to be honest is giving enough sustence in this kind of concept to make it replayable. It'd be pretty hard to do that, difficulty with pure Creeps is a pain to create.

Also you need to remember that this game runs off a pretty old engine. The graphics have been updated a bit recently but it's still the same millenia old engine. There're a lot of limitations. Boss fights are doable, but unless the creeps are coded as mini champions i'm not sure if they'd be able to be coded as an actual threat that uses abilities etc.

Yeah, but can RIOT pull it off?
