(Champion Concept) Onslaught, The Legend of the League

Left and right the saying of the rift announcer "EXECUTED!" started to become worryingly constant. The summoners looked into the debacle and to their amazement...discovered a village...of minions. The minions were constructs of pure magic from the summoners, but so much blood shed and magic dumped into the rift created things. things that were not intended. These manifested minions were dangerous. Since they were made from the magic of the rift they became empowered, and eventually memorized every champions abilities that (to them) invaded their home. Then came their leader, the reason why they exist, known only as Onslaught. Once a regular, feeble minion born to die for the leagues causes, onslaught became noteable for being the only minion to never die in a match in the summoners rift for many years. Somehow he was able to break the magical mind control from the summoners and began to learn of all the champions that treaded the rift. Hidden, he trained vigorously and eventually SLAYED champions of the league (such as garen, rengar, malzahar and many more). He viewed what residents of ruenterra view as simply 'minions' onslaught viewed as friends...brothers in arms...family. After the 4th rematch between Noxus and Demacia had taken place (where 13 champions were executed) the summoners involuntarily took notice to onslaught and were forced to make him a champion.....the Legend of the League...

You do realize the League of Legends is no longer canon to the lore, right?

Having said that I've been toying with the notion of a "Minion King" champ, particularly now that Xayah acknowledged they exist in-universe, but the lore would have to not include specific references to Summoner's Rift, the League of Legends, or Summoners as detailed in the old lore.

Short answer, the lore has been changed significantly from the initial concept; see the Universe page for further information. Slightly longer answer: there is no longer such an organization as the Institute of War, the League of Legends was never developed as a proxy substitute for direct warfare, and Summoners don't seem to exist in-universe as the indeterminately overpowered class of mages they used to be. Also, whether or not Summoner's Rift is a real place in Runeterra seems to be debatable.

If anything, a "Summoner" seems to just be a League player randomly abducting various people of interest from Runeterra to make them fight 5v5 MOBA deathmatches for their own amusement without any sort of direct upon canon.
