League Pleb Series
LPS (League Pleb Series)
Hello my name is waterprooftoasters (Johnnyfuzz0001) A few of my friends and I really love League of legends professional circuit and I have always dreamed of playing in it. Unfortunately, like most players, I not only lack the time but, also the skill to even be able to come close to the level the pros are at. I’ve wondered what it would be like to be on a stage in front of a crowd of people while thousands of others watched online. I think of how cool it would be to be interviewed by the casters and have many a time acted out dialog with my friends of the stupid childish things we would say on stream after a big win. Most of all I would love to be able to meet all the cool people that play the game and become friends with awesome individuals like Imaqtpie, Sneaky and Pobelter. So I have decided, with the help of my friends to create the LPS. The LPS offers low elo players an opportunity to feel what it’s like to play and act like a pro player. The structure of the LPS is exactly the same as the way the LCS is structured. For those who don’t know the LCS is comprised of 10 teams, each team plays two games a week and plays each other team competing twice which is a total of 9 weeks and 90 games (each team plays 18 games). The teams are ranked by how many games they have won and the top 6 teams get to advance to playoffs where teams compete in a single elimination tournament to become number one.
The teams will be comprised of players from low elo rankings (Bronze – Platinum), specifically no more than one from Platinum elo and two from Gold elo, (sorry master tier players maybe next time/if there’s enough interest). This makes for much more interesting games rather than watching 5 bronze players play team death match for 50 minutes or watching one team face roll in a gold tier match. Any substitutes would need to be the same elo as the player they are subbing for as well.
I would like the LPS season to run alongside with the spring LCS season, which means it would start sometime around the end of January. That also means we would need to start deciding what the 10 competing teams would be. The best way to do that would be to have our own LPS Challenger Series.
This would be started as soon as possible and would be comprised of all who want to compete in the LPS. The way the Challenger Series tourney bracket would be determined by the number of teams that would want to compete but would more than likely be single elimination best of 3 matches.
What you get for competing is not only the experience of playing in an environment likes the LCS but, also you get to compete for Triumphant Ryze (Provided Riot sanctions it). We may have other prizes but, that is to be determined.
Now all we need is you! If you would like to join email [email protected] and include your in game name, the server you play on (to see if there’s interest in multiple regions) and your elo rank. If you cannot find a team, don’t fret for we will help you. We will take all the players with interest and comprise a list of “solo player’s” in game name, elo rank and server and post it (no personal information such as email addresses will be published) allowing an easy way to get in touch and communicate with other players to create teams. I thank you for your interest and hope that we can start what will be the best league community event ever!
