Hey all, so this is my first champion concept and I’m eager to see what you all think of it. Questions, comments, suggestions, and constructive criticism are all welcome.

Base Stats (tentative values):

Health: 582 - 2134 Attack Damage: 57 - 114 Health Regen: 6.6 - 18.3 Attack Speed: 0.642 - 1.067 Mana: N/A Armor: 28 - 73 Mana Regen: N/A Magic Resist: 25 - 45 Movement Speed: 335 Melee: 150

Passive: Harvest

Every time Rez'Lith uses an auto attack, he gains 2/4/6/8 (indicating at champion levels 1/6/11/16) units of harvest in his resource bar up to a maximum of 100/200/300/400 harvest. Every 10 units of harvest that Rez'Lith has, he gains 0.25 health regen, 1 armor, and 1 magic resist. Harvest does not deplete over time and is only expended when Rez’Lith is killed or uses an ability. Rez’Lith loses all stacks of harvest upon death but always respawns with 20/40/60/80 harvest. At base, Rez’Lith can restore harvest (like mana) to up to 40% his maximum amount.

Q: Charge/Ravager | Range: 450/900 (for active and empowered) | Cost: 5/10/15/20/25 harvest stacks | Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds

Active: Rez'Lith can dash up to twice a short distance in the direction of the cursor within 2 seconds.

Empowered: Rez'Lith thrusts his arm forward, creating a lance that hits in a conical area dealing 80/130/180/230/280 (+45% AD) (+ 35% AP) physical damage.

W: Mach 5/Solidify | Range:N/A | Cost: 5/10/15/20/25 harvest stacks | Cooldown: 15/13/11/9/7 seconds

Active: Rez'Lith gains 20/25/30/35/40% movement speed for 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds, also allowing him to move through units for the duration.

Empowered: Rez'Lith gains bonus attack damage equal to 10/15/20/25/30% armor and 10/15/20/25/30% magic resist respectively for 5/6/7/8/9 seconds. Additionally, each auto attack during this time frame coats the target in ooze, slowing their movement speed by 20/26/32/38/44% for 1 second. Each auto will refresh this duration, and at 3 stacks of ooze, the target will be stunned for .75 seconds. This stun cannot happen again for another 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds on the same unit.

E: Launch/Lunge | Range: 600/700 (for active and empowered) | Cost: 10/20/30/40 harvest stacks | Cooldown: 12 at all ranks

Active: Rez'Lith jumps to a target location. Upon landing, enemies within 150 radius are slowed by 20% for 1.5 seconds. If he lands on top of an enemy, they are stunned for .75 seconds.

Empowered: Rez’Lith lunges forwards. If he collides with an enemy champion in his path, both he and the enemy champion are suppressed for 1 second as Rez’Lith lifts them up and crushes them in his grasp dealing 90/150/210/270/330 (+30% AD) physical damage. Targets whom he dashes through are dealt 70% of the damage.

R: Deus Ex Machina | Range: N/A | Cost: 30/60/90/120 harvest stacks | Cooldown: 17/14/11/8 seconds (static)

Active: Removes all slows on Rez'Lith while allowing him to use up to 3 empowered abilities within 8 seconds. The empowered abilities share the cooldown of Rez'Lith's ult. Reactivating this ability without using any empowered skills cancels the chance to empower an ability, putting this on a 40% cooldown but does not refund harvest stacks.

Lore:

Stone pillars rose above the desert sand beneath them. Some lay broken in the sand while others stood as tall as the most proud buildings in Zaun. Standing in front of the entrance to the tomb, the two beings surveyed the area. It was a formidable sight to see almost as if the pillars were a cage to keep whatever lie inside imprisoned. The perfect site where no one else would interrupt. Viktor turned to Malthazar and nodded. Neither had spoken at all on the way to Icathia yet they understood from their conversation a few days ago what was agreed to happen.

Stepping forward, with the familiar void energy crackling from his hands, Malthazar prepared to open the gate to the void. In the background, Viktor prepared his machine, a behemoth mech that would go into the portal to gather samples from the void to further enhance his glorious evolution. It had been difficult to get Malthazar to agree to this although after Viktor had explained how it could be beneficial to them both, the prophet of the void had reluctantly agreed. Rightly so, thought Viktor, since the scientist had no intention of aiding the void in its all consuming quest across Runeterra. The machine glowed to life and moved towards the ruins. He hoped that it would not encounter any dangerous void creatures in its brief trip into the depths as the mech was not outfitted for combat, only recon. Its job was to gather samples and return as fast as possible so that no incident was to occur.

With a fizzling noise, the gate opened. For a brief moment, Viktor’s sensors rapidly changed between static and strange purple markings of which he could not recognize as the portal released its energy. The mech seemed to be unaffected which is exactly what the scientist had hoped for. Setting the controls to automatic, the machine ventured off into the unknown. Although it was only minutes, the wait seemed to last an eternity as contact was cut off from the machine. Left to fend for itself until it returned, Viktor began to question if this was going to work. He ran the calculations again and again in his mind making sure that there was nothing he missed. Meanwhile, Malthazar stood silently, glowing eyes fixed on the portal as if he could see glimpses of what was inside. To both their surprise, the gate suddenly began to bulge outwards. Clearly something was trying to get through to their side and Viktor hoped that it was his machine and not some vicious void abomination.

A metallic hand burst through the gateway, gripping one of the nearby broken pillars and for a moment, Viktor thought everything was alright. Then he noticed the patches of ooze on the arm of his machine. Although it was not in his intentions to help others, he instinctively shouted at Malthazar to move as the rest of his machine broke through the portal. Both beings registered the horror at what emerged, no longer just a machine but some kind of biomechanical hybrid. Thick ooze coated most of the upper half of the mech and Viktor could see something that looked like bones floating around inside. He realized now that the creature had attached to his machine in an attempt to consume it. Its single glowing eye turned towards them and beneath it, the massive jawbone of some carnivorous void creature clung like a lopsided grin as a mechanical screech pierced the air. Without warning, the hybrid swung an arm at Malthazar who narrowly avoided it. Firing a pulse from his laser, Viktor charged forward. However, the beam failed to pass through the solidified goo that formed on the monster’s shoulder.

With the ooze on its right arm suddenly solidifying into a blade, both the prophet and scientist dropped to the ground as the machine swung wide above them. Viktor could hear the whistle through the air as it cut in a wide arc, breaking more pillars. The situation was becoming even more dangerous and both knew that they had to escape quickly. Before they got a chance to run, something broke through the ooze on the beast’s back which Viktor recognized as the boosters attached to the mech. As if suddenly bored with them, the horror dashed off into the desert.

Not daring to move, the two remained on the ground in case it decided to return. When the time came and they rose to their feet all that was visible in the distance was a cloud of dust. Suddenly angry, Viktor turned to Malthazar and questioned him as to what creature had attached itself to his machine. Malthazar only spoke two syllables yet the fear that was contained in them clearly showed.

Rez’Lith.

Strategy:

Rez'Lith is a mobile tank that would be suitable for top lane. His basic abilities are all movement oriented but when his ult is activated, he is able to deal serious damage. From this, Rez'Lith is able to chain together movement and damage while at the same time offering counterplay from his cooldowns and challenging resource management.

Rez’Lith has a difficult early game due to the difficulty in gaining harvest used in dealing damage. At low harvest, he can be zoned relatively easily but past the halfway point, he becomes very dangerous, being able to quickly close gaps and deal grievous amounts of damage in a short time. Once he gets tanky, the harvester can become more self sufficient and gain harvest stacks back easily as long as he has something to hit. Still, one has to manage his resource bar efficiently since, although the stacks do not deplete over time, Rez’Lith’s costs can add up fast especially if he is zipping around the map with his movement abilities.

During team fights, Rez’Lith can absorb damage for his team while using his ult to occasionally lock down enemies for a kill. His late game damage makes enemies think twice about ignoring him in a teamfight lest they suffer the consequences of his crowd control. Having full stacks of harvest also help Rez’Lith survive with the bonus health regen and defenses.

When fighting the biomechanical hybrid, the most effective way to win is to keep him at a distance. Although this maybe hard later on when he becomes tanky, he is relatively fragile early and mid game and keeping him from autoing will starve him of farm and offensive power. Additionally, baiting him into using up his precious harvest stacks can turn him into a simple bullet sponge or punching bag.
