Hi, I would love there to be more Star Guardian skins this year especially a Star Guardian Sona skin. Does anyone else have any champions they'd like to see get a Star Guardian skin (besides the beloved Star Guardian Urgot; I've also seen Star Guardian Ornn)? Thanks! [sg-kiko]

Oleandervine4 votesI don't think they'll be doing a full line of SG skins this year. Maybe one or two like they did with the Dark Stars and Blood Moon. As for the best candidate, obviously it has to be Taric.
Also, Urgot will never happen. Ornn will never happen. They will forever remain memes, unless Riot makes bad cosplay skins of them for April Fool's Day.

Oleandervine3 votesI don't believe that's correct, he's been requested since they added a male to the line up, and his connections to stars and his fashion sense make him a candidate. He would elegantly fit into the line up, and there are many anime tropes that he could slot into.
Unlike Urgot, Ornn, or any of these other meme picks, Taric has legitimate ways he could fit into the skin line, and could fit without breaking the overall theme or seeming out of place.

Lux is a teen magical girl anime trope. Jinx js the crazy but loveable anime trope. Poppy is the little girl bruiser who deals a shit ton of damage and can take a ton of damage too. Janna is the silent but wise mentor. Lulu is the sweet little girl who's innocence gives her a connection to the source of magic.
Ahri is the girl who has been hurt by magic and become cynical. Syndra is the girl who wants to test the extent of her power and break right through. Soraka is the sweet demure girl who's super compassionate and that gives her a magic connection. Miss Fortune is the girl who jist wants to go out in a blaze glory after her loved ones were taken from her. Ezreal is a blonde spiky hair anime boy.
As you can see, they have to be at least a little animesque. Which Taric... isn't. He's Fabio, a western creation that takes no inspiration from anime. In fact, Braum would fit better as a star guardian than Taric, because the super flex body builder is an anime cliche, look at general General Armstrong, All Might, Braum could fit if not for one thing. He does not look like a teenager or a child. Which is another important thing to the Star Guardian line. Which Taric just doesn't fit.

Things like Urgot, Ornn, Garen and some of the others that have gotten fanart are jokes cause they don't have the appearance that properly suits the theme. Riot said that "young characters with various personalities" are what they put in the skin line. I mean, Garen is "young" but he's SUPER manly and that'd be totally awkward looking. Taric on the other hand, is young and very appealing, something that people would adore.

That's another I disagree with cause people have done goofy fan art of him in the line https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CgmhiskUgAAmQwB.jpg and then thinking along the lines of how they did Ezreal, it just wouldn't look right on Braum.
I'd even say Rakan/Xayah are another great pick for the line, though at the same time since they are anthropomorphs it could also look a bit weird since their skins have been altered in other lines (such as Sweetheart)

Actual age has nothing to do with it, you know that right? The age that is being taken into account with all of these is their visual appearance and how that is reflected within the theme.

He has a cane and he has a cloak draped over his shoulders like Swain does he also has white hair.
The only thing in the image indicating taric is the gemstones.
And again. Nothing about Taric is animesque. Voice actors do not count.

They are either slim, slim and muscular, average, average and muscular, or Armstrong sized, if they are anywhere near Tarics shape theyre almost definitely a one off character whos supposed to look gonky or bare minimum an antagonist.

Sukishoo2 votesNo, it was never confirmed WHAT they were skipping this year. They said that there were themes the might skip for a year or so, but never said what.
It could be Arcade, SG, Project... those are various themes we haven't seen this year (but as I mentioned in another post SG has been released in October and September in past years)

Her base personality is just too sadistic and evil for that skin line, she feels more like a villain in such an anime show.

Oleandervine1 votesJinx also got a 1820 skin, but even then, her base personality is just crazy, on the silly side, and not flat out homicidal/sadistic like Evelynn. Additionally, for Evelynn players, it would feel really shitty to get a Star Guardian skin for her that completely overrides who she is as a character - no other 1820 skin erases who the champ is originally, it builds it in a different way, and there's no way to include Evelynn in the lineup without a CONSIDERABLE override to her personality. This just wouldn't happen for her.
Her best hope, as SatomiKun said, is to be on the villain side. Lissandra is my #1 choice to be the main villain, but Evelynn would make a perfect second in command.
Chembaron Yamada1 votesJinx is not primarily interested in killing people. She is not going out of her way to brutally splatter the guts of an innocent guy all over a wall. But if she sees a factory for fireworks at midnight, she definitely will blow that thing up.
Her main goal is fun by blowing up stuff, that people get hurt is collateral damage, but she doesn't do it on purpose. And that aspect of her personality is still kept in her Star Guardian theme. She still just wants to have a blast by blowing everything up. The difference is just that she added sparkles to the explosions she caused.
Meanwhile Evelynn: she is living from the pain and despair of people, giving them false promises just to rip their flesh apart. She is way darker than Jinx will ever be and I don't think that someone whos primary personal trait is being a sadistic torturer really fits into a Star Guardian team.
An anti-Star Guardian team would actually be interesting. Give the Star Guardians some intelligent enemies to fight instead of just the mindless void monsters. Maybe it is even an opportunity to implement Urgot into the Star Guardian universe without making him an actual Star Guardian. I think this has potential.
But as long as I am breathing, I will always protest against Evelynn becoming an actual Star Guardian, the same goes for Urgot.
Sukishoo1 votesWell yeah, she's psycho in the sense of blowing things up not killing people :P But there's also Syndra, who I thought would make a better Villainous skin as well since she's all about being stronger and getting more power (sounds evil enough to me). Though her SG skin visually makes her look cute and happy. So, they could still pull out anything with some of these skins and change them from how we see them normally.
Chembaron Yamada1 votesThe wish to become stronger and getting more power by itself is not evil and I still don't see Syndra as a complete villain. Syndra became that way because of the way the people treated her, they tried everything to suppress her powers and even imprison her.
Her wish for freedom and discovering her true potential is what is driving her forward. But we also have to keep in mind: It is strongly hinted that Syndra actually is one of the bad guys. It seems like she might betray the Star Guardians some time in the future, if she didn't already without their knowledge. Maybe she was even responsible for the death of Ahris and Miss Fortunes team mates.
But I highly doubt that they will use this "traitor among the own people" concept again for Evelynn, so that just leaves me with the option to make her an obvious villain. And she suits that role way better anyway in my opinion.
Sukishoo1 votesHmm well, I guess that makes sense there. But whenever we are to see more, we just never know what Riot will do since in the end it's all up to them. Sometimes they have chosen to do things that are a bit unexpected, at least imo in regards to skins.
I would very much enjoy more Eve skins either way.
(Especially with our very quiet PBE week, makes me feel like we might get a surprise skin again like Beemo)
