Champion Concept: Ude, Piltovers Rocketarm
Ude, Piltovers rocketarm
First, all about Ude is his arms. He has 2 arms; his left arm is a rocket powered fist and his right arm is rocket powered drill. Ude works with energy (like Lee Sin). From my overall concept, I believe he is AD Tank, (kind of like Kled build) but I also consider him as a hybrid champ if you decide to boost his AP damage in his abilities.
Passive(ArmstronK): From Udes passive, this champion gives to the player a lot of choices.
- If Ude has both arms, he has increased attack-speed.
- If Ude has one arm, he has decreased attack-speed and for each hand there are different effects. • Right arm: The 1st hit after he loses his left arm lowers targets armor and magic resist (Drilling through enemy’s armor) • Left arm: Every 3rd basic while he doesn’t have his right arm will deal increased damage. This can be more AP damage or true damage or just more physical damage. After he gets both arms back effects reset and he deals normal damage.
- If Ude doesn’t have any of his arms he has increased movement speed or just a burst of movement speed.
Q(Boomarfist): Boosts his left arm in the target direction. If the fist hits an enemy there is a small explosion. Can also be just a hit without explosion. (like Urgot’s projectile Q). This projectile pass through minions dealing damage. If on its way to the max target range it doesn’t hit any champion, then the arm comes back to Ude after a very small delay. On its way back, it slows all enemies in its path dealing less damage. Alternative choice for its way back is to bring the 1st champion it hits to Ude. (Looks like the fist grabs the enemy champion and brings it to him) If the arm comes back to Ude without hitting any champion, the cooldown can be refunded or reduced. Effects only apply on large monsters and champions. Although minions still take damage but they do not trigger the effect. The fist can’t pass the terrain. Cooldown timer starts when arm leaves the body.
W(Rocket-DrillArm): This ability is lock-on ability and focuses on Udes right arm. Boosts his right arm to the target enemy. When the drill hits the enemy, it sticks to them and starts dealing damage overtime while lowering the targets armor and magic resist. The second part with the armor and magic resist is not necessary. It can only be damage overtime. This ability can pass over terrain. Minions and monsters take more damage.
E(Grappling Arms/Jump of the Strong Arms/ Shield of Harden): If Ude has both arms on his body, then his E throws both of his arms in the front (like a projectile) and grabs the 1st enemy it hits. (I think if his Boomarfist on they way back pulls enemies close then he doesn’t need this “Grappling arms” ability. If Boomarfist just slows the enemy then this ability would be a great addition to his kit) If Ude has 1 or less arms on him then his E changes and becomes “Jump of the strong arms” and has a small leap that can pass small terrain. If Ude has no arms when he activates his ability he gets a spell shield like Nocturnes. These are the 3 abilities I can think of and we can make combinations with these options. For example if he has arms he leaps and if he doesn’t have arms he has shield.
R(Drillpeck Finisher): To active his ultimate Ude needs to have both of his arms on his body. This a hard crowd control ability so when he uses it Ude locks down. He chooses on enemy champion and he holds him up dealing a small amount of damage over time and at the same time Ude gives the targeted champion 4 consecutive punches with his fist dealing a small amount of damage for each punch. During this process the targeted champion is immune to any other damage, heal or shield. Although Ude is vulnerable to damage, heals and shields. His ultimate can be interrupted with crowd control abilities that knocks back the champion.
Alternative Ultimate if “Drillpeck Finisher” is too over-powered(Rocket-Mayhem): When Rocket-Mayhem is activated, Ude lock down and starts launching rapidly small missiles from his back to the enemies in the cone in front of Ude(Like Miss Fortune Ultimate). Missiles will only damage enemy champions and will only launch from his back if someone enters the cone-zone. If during the time of the process no enemies are detected in the zone and no missiles fired the cooldown is reduced.
Generaly: His kit gives the player the ability to choose if what he will do is right or wrong. He is strong but he can be punished easily for his mistakes. I can’t choose between if he can be AD or AP or just Tank but I am sure I would be cool that he is mainly AD but if you build him AP he will do great work but it will be harder. The closest thing to what I am trying to tell you is Shyvana with new rework. She is AD Tank but if you build her AP she will do just fine but it will be harder. In the general kit I ‘ve included a lot of alternative abilities that can combine with each other and still be balanced. I have not included damage ratio for each ability because I don’t know how your programmers code so It will be balanced. Ude means arm in Japanese and it sounds cool for a champion in League of Legends. Although names aren’t that good; they are too simple so it would be good if you find the names. I picture this champion as a human with exoskeleton suit and that’s why I gave him the title “Pitlover’s RocketArm”. /I haven’t thought about his lore and I focus more on its kit and gameplay and not its appearance. I leave the lore and visuals to you because you are good at it. ;)/
