[ITEM CONCEPT] Idea Dump - Hybrid itemization ideas

I was bored and remembered a video that talked about the Rageblade on-hit playstyle and the potential of hybrid builds, so I put together some item concepts that might increase hybrid itemization. Yes, I'm aware that hybrid itemization is difficult to balance because they're either overpowered or underwhelming unless they are overloaded with other stats, but I hope that through discussion adjustments can be made to the point they might be used.

Reaper’s Grimblade (3600g) Base stats: +300 health +25 attack damage +35 ability power Recipe: Serrated Dirk (1100g) + Haunting Guise (1600g) + 800g UNIQUE Passive – Glare of Agony: +20 armor penetration and magic penetration UNIQUE Passive: Damage dealt is amplified by 2% per basic attack within 2 seconds on a single target. (Falls off entirely when time runs out)

Comments: I thought that the hybrid playstyle would benefit greatly from penetration, as itemizing for both AD and AP leaves both at somewhat low numbers. I initially thought to have Glare of Agony be Eyes of Pain, but since that conflicts with Liandry's, I changed it because some champions would benefit from having Liandry's.

EDIT: Changed the damage amp passive, it seemed a bit too strong.

Hextech Hydra-20 (3000g) Base stats: +35 attack damage +55 ability power +50% base health regen Recipe: Tiamat (1200g) + Hextech Revolver (1050g) + 650g UNIQUE Passive – Cleave: Basic attacks deal 40% attack damage (+15% ability power) mixed damage to units around your target UNIQUE Active – Stone Bolt: The next basic attack blasts a wave of upturned rock in a cone, dealing 80-160 (based on level) (+25% bonus attack damage) (+30% ability power) mixed damage. (40 second cooldown, shared with other Hextech items)

Comments: I thought that the Hextech family could use a few more members. Initially I thought about having this build out of Warhammer instead of Phage (Calling it WAR-300), and it having 20% CDR instead of health, but it fit better with another item later on. Also, the Hextech family is missing an element, so here's the fourth element to become the Avatar!

EDIT: Reworked, the health seemed awkward there.

King’s Trifecta (4000g) Base stats: +500 health +40 attack damage +50 ability power +40 armor +55 magic resist +150% base health regen Recipe: Jaurim’s Fist (1200g) + Spectre’s Cowl (1200g) + Seeker’s Armguard (1200g) + 400g

Comments: This spawned from the idea of the old Triforce, back when Sheen gave AP instead of CDR. I liked this concept since it kinda gives off the feeling of actually building a suit, Jaurim's the left hand, Seeker's the right hand, etc.

EDIT: Put a cap on Royalty stacks so it doesn't become completely overloaded with stats. EDIT: Removed the passive and active because they made the item too good.

Ethereal Siphon (3000g) Base stats: +40 attack damage +60 ability power +15% life steal +10% movement speed Recipe: Long Sword (350g) + Amplifying Tome (435g) + Vampric Scepter (550g) + Aether Wisp (850g) + 815g UNIQUE Passive: Dealing damage heals for 15% of it, increases movement speed by 20% UNIQUE Passive: Moving grants stacks, at max stacks the next attack heals 50 + (15% attack damage) + (20% ability power) health. (max 100)

Comments: This one was kinda fun to think about, not too many movespeed items. Maybe a bit strong though.

EDIT: Bumped the cost.

Barbarian’s Strategy (2800g) Base stats: +45 attack damage +50 ability power +20% cooldown reduction Recipe: Caulfield’s Warhammer (1100g) + Fiendish Codex (900g) + 800g UNIQUE Passive – Warlord: Instances of dealing damage reduces the cooldown reduction of abilities by 1 for each instance. (procs 2 times, instances count per source. 30 second cooldown)

Comments: This was the item mentioned at RAG-900, thought these two would would justify having 20% CDR on it.

EDIT: Modified the Warlord passive so it isn't easily abused.

Dethroner (2800g) Base stats: +25 attack damage +35 ability power +10% cooldown reduction Recipe: Executioner’s Calling (800g) + Fiendish Codex (900g) + 1200g UNIQUE Passive – Executioner: Physical damage inflicts Grievous Wounds on enemy champions for 6 seconds, reducing their resistances by 20%. UNIQUE Passive: Increases cooldown reduction by 6 seconds when Grievous Wounds is in effect.

Comments: Honestly, I kinda wanted to have Lost Chapter build into something else. I initially wanted to use Giant Slayer here but adding health would be counter-intuitive to its passive, so Executioner's is here.

EDIT: Lost Chapter and Ruby Crystal removed, so it isn't mana-locked.

Lava Axe (2800g) +55 attack damage Recipe: Long Sword (350g) + Pickaxe (875g) + 1575g UNIQUE Passive: +40% armor penetration

Comments: I know what you're thinking, this is NOT a hybrid item, this is a very strong AD item, probably too powerful at that. This starts the trilogy of paired items. I thought of this to pair with Void Staff, to go along with the penetration idea.

EDIT: Minor tweak to the tooltip, now matches the Void Staff tooltip in-game. I used the tooltip on the Wiki and I'm not sure which is the correct one.

Thunder Blade (3200g) Base stats: +40 attack damage +20 ability power Recipe: B.F. Sword (1300g) + Amplifying Tome (435g) + 1465g UNIQUE Passive – Plus Force: Grants 20 ability power when Nega Force is present.

Gravity Staff (3200g) Base stats: +10 attack damage +60 ability power Recipe: Long Sword (350g) + Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + 1600g UNIQUE Passive – Nega Force: Grants 50 attack damage when Plus Force is present.

Comments: I thought of the idea of paired items to perhaps give hybrid a bit more of a presence, requiring more gold to pull off to dissuade it from being completely busted on pure AD or AP. I doubt I've succeeded with this though.

EDIT: Nerfed the stats and changed the passives, making it a requirement to get both of these items in order to be effective.

Hextech BLU-50A (4000g) Base stats: +40 attack damage +40 ability power +250 mana Recipe: B.F. Sword (1300g) + Hextech Revolver (1050g) + Tear of the Goddess (750g) + 900g UNIQUE Passive – Awe: Grants bonus attack damage and ability power equal to 2% of maximum mana. Refunds 15% of mana spent. UNIQUE Passive – Mana Charge: Grants +6 maximum mana for each basic attack, spell cast, and mana expenditure (occurs up to 2 times every 8 seconds). (Transforms into BLU-50X at +750 mana) UNIQUE Passive – Energy Bolt: Damaging an enemy champion shocks them for 80-190 (at levels 1-18) bonus mixed damage. (40 second cooldown, shared with other Hextech items.)

Hextech BLU-50X (+750 mana on Hextech BLU-50A) Base stats: +40 attack damage +40 ability power +1000 mana UNIQUE Passive – Awe: Grants bonus attack damage and ability power equal to 2% of maximum mana. Refunds 20% of mana spent. UNIQUE Active – Mana Bolt: Fires a laser in a line (stops at first target hit) that costs 10% of max mana, dealing 150-280 (based on level) + (15% bonus attack damage) + (25% ability power) mixed damage. (40 second cooldown, shared with other Hextech items)

Comments: Now I had fun with this one, I will admit. I tried to make this balanced but also really strong for hybrid users. I'm not sure if it's broken or if I overdid it and it's weak.

EDIT: Some of the stats seemed too good, so I removed Vast and buffed the mana scaling.

Thank you for looking at these, please leave suggestions and discuss this concept.

Dude, Kong's Trifecta sounds like an idea I had that combined Serrated Dirk, Sheen, and BF Sword. A little OP.

UNIQUE Passive: Damage dealt is amplified by 40% (applied before resistances)

This alone is absurd lol. Literally any champ would abuse this to hell and back. Haven't read the rest yet, I agree that hybrid items need work

UNIQUE Passive – Royal Crown: Killing 1 unit grants 1 stack of Royalty. (uncapped) Royalty: Stacks grant 5 attack damage, ability power, armor, and magic resis

I was wrong, this is even more absurd. Youd rush this item and be invincible. Even if you only get 100 creeps with it thats 500 AD AP armor and MR. Things don't have to be final, but at least think them through a bit more. Maybe like 1 of each, or only offense or only defense. Even then its a bit much. The only way I could justify this as is is if it gave 0 stats for 4k and you built up from there
