Hey guys! programVelkoz Velkoz here. I'm just gonna post some of my thoughts of a new champ, hoping rito will see this (unlikely though, considering there are hundreds like these). I've been thinking a champ similar to Azir, who prioritizes base attack than skill shots. However, I want the Dastran player to be careful with his aa, because you need mana to attack. On the bright side, you will have some damage on your basic attacks. Attention RIOT! Mana cost for the abilities are yours to change!

Me : "Each aa requires mana for this champ." Friend : "Really?" Me : "Yeah." Friend : "That sucks." Me : " :( "

Name : Dastran, the master of magic Type : Mage, Bruiser, Potential Initiater

Passive : Dastran's basic attacks chain damage up to 3 enemy targets, and the chain finds the nearest enemy. His basic attack consumes mana One of his abilities must be active

Q : Suffocating Gas - Dastran's basic attack additionally poisons the target, dealing poison damage over 3 seconds. (5/6/7/8/9) mana per attack W : Melting Flames - Dastran's basic attack additionally burns the target, applying Grievous Wounds for 3 seconds to all enemies hit (10/11/12/13/14) mana per attack. E : Magical Destiny - Dastran's basic attack speed is increased by (30 - 50 based on skill level) for (5/5.5/6/6.5/7) seconds upon activation, and additionally deals 3% of enemy health as true damage, plus (0.5/0.55/0.6/0.65/0.7) Ability Power plus (0.3/0.35/0.4/0.45/0.5) Attack damage as bonus damage. (15/18/21/24/27) mana per attack R : Freezing Ice - Dastran's next basic attack can chain up to five enemies, and freezing all enemies hit for (1/1.5/2) seconds

Some items... Well, buy what Azir Azir goes. item 3115 , item 3151 , item 3089 , etc. But a core item would be item 3003 . Do I really have to explain this? item 3078 might be good too, since you would be constantly changing attacks ("activating abilities"). Actually, no. It's probably not. item 3100 might be a better choice.

Now, I know some of you might say "What a crappy champ. No abilities, just basic attacks. Probably gonna get squished in lane.". I don't completely deny it, because it might suffer during laning phase due to its early mana spending costs and lack of burst damage. But since his basic attacks are empowered differently with every single ability, it is very flexible. Suffocating Gas, poisons the target which not only poisons them but can benefit some champions (cough, cough CassiopeiaCassiopeia ). Melting Flames, applies Grievous wounds that may counter healing giants such as Maokai , Nasus , or Illaoi . Magical Destiny (Naming's really hard guys.) also counters tanks, with some bonus damage. Freezing Ice can be a game changer. If you hit it right, it has the potential to stun ALL five champions on their team when they are all grouped up. Plus, it's a targeting move. Dastran can be top, mid, or even adc. I wanted the ultimate to be a lightning-type move, but I found out it is too similar with this rat's ultimate Kennen .

Well, thanks for reading guys. I haven't played league for like a month now, and I'm itching to play some ranked in this new Season 8. And riot, please give Vel'koz some skins. Like Pool Party Vel'koz, where he can be a squid. But that's a discussion for another time.

A "Master of Magic" as you put it seems to be more of a selfish Enchanter, because a master of magic isn't going to be throwing around little balls or whatever his auto attack would be, he's going to be tossing around bolts of eldritch power. The auto buffs are an interesting idea for a PART of a mage's kit, as that gives them more versatility and such. The key thing is that you can't base a champion all around auto buffs. At least not with what they've been doing recently, I will give you the fact that they did make Udyr who is basically exclusively auto buffs, but he was released back in December 2009 with Version 1.0.0.29. Good Idea for the auto buff, just don't use it for the entire kit.

The focus on auto enchantments is a bit too much for a ranged champ. I kinda get the idea, but the q and w are by description, literally the same spell but one applies grievous wounds, the E's scalings are flat out over powered...

If i had to design a champ like this id give it odd zones like, each ability places a zone, while in the zone he gets the buff, this would give him clear counter play option, you can either knock or bait him out of a zone.

As for class, he's in no way a mage, bruisers arent actually a thing, and his only initiation is a small stun. He's more a marksmen than anything else, yet he lacks the tools to go head to head with other marksmen.

Wouldn't only auto-attacking get really boring?
