Stayed up till 3 AM thinking about new champions. Sorry I didn't do the specifics, but I think I covered the basics.

Role: Marksman

Secondary: Mage

Lore:

Vaughan had always been a lover of the stars. But to the Solari, the only important star was the sun. But he loved all the stars of Runeterra, and sought to educate himself about them. He discovered ancient, forbidden history and studied it in secret. But he wondered why the Solari kept such a narrow mind. Why could they not see the infinity of light that he saw in the stars? Why were they so blinded by the sun?

During this time, he fell in love with the beautiful Sun Warrior, Leona. He could never approach her, however, about the stars. He remembered Diana, and the long-lasting hatred between her and the Solari. Vaughan realized he had no place among those who loved the sun, so he disappeared before he could be cast out by those he loved.

He became a wanderer of Mt. Targon. One night, however, he found himself in one of Targon's darkest forests. Wandering aimlessly, he stumbled upon a circular carving in the ground. The granite, lit by the light of the stars, illuminated ancient writings. As he stepped onto the large stone to read it, the ground fell under him. Vaughan found himself on an underground altar with a marble throne and a closet of encased armor. He examined the armor and the altar. It was Solari, but it did not depict the sun. It depicted the stars. Perhaps Mt. Targon had more history than he had believed.

Vaughan donned the armor of the Stella, infused with starlight. He also bore a Stellan gauntlet, which smites foes with rays of its divine starlight. When he stepped into the starlight wearing the armor, light rained down from the stars in a fiery beam, attracting much attention (unbeknownst to Vaughan.) Vaughan's skin turned a sterling, star-like blue. He had been chosen by the ghosts of the ancient Stella, and the stars. Now, he wields his weapons with courage and strength, and is prepared to smite any who challenge their might.

But deep down inside, he fears a battle with the one he loves more than the stars, Leona.

Appearance: Vaughan used to be a black male, but after becoming the new Stellan champion, his skin turned a pale, fiery blue. His hair was burnt off by the fiery beam of starlight, and he is now bald. Vaughan is very tall and lean. His color scheme consists of white, silver, and blue. His chest plate, shoulder pads, and gauntlet all bear the Stellan crest. (Haven't designed it yet.)

** Skills:**

Passive: Divinity Every third attack, basic or otherwise, deals additional damage.

Q: Pulsar Cost: 30 mana Cooldown: 14/12/11/10/8 Vaughan targets a nearby enemy champion and fires a pulsar star at them. It attaches to them for a short amount of time and cannot be attacked. While it is attached, it deals attack damage and slows the enemy until it (the star) dies. With each level, the amount of damage it deals and the amount of time it attaches increases.

W: Spiral Cost: 25 mana Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/10 Vaughan surrounds himself with a spiral of stars which damages and slows any enemy that comes in contact of the spiral.

E: Stella Cost: 50 mana Cooldown: 18/16/15/13/11 Vaughan targets an area on the ground and it is engraved with the Stellan crest. Upon impact with an enemy, the crest explodes and deals damage to enemy units, as well as slows them.

R: Supernova Cost: 100 mana Cooldown: 100/99/98 Vaughan fires a dying star from his gauntlet. Upon contact with an enemy champion, it explodes and deals massive damage. If it does not make contact with an enemy champion, it explodes at the end of its range and deals damage to any nearby enemies.

Strengths: Vaughan can run away while still dealing damage, without having to turn around and stop to kite.

Weaknesses: Vaughan's range is not as long. Against a very long ranged champion, Vaughan may lose when it comes to farming.

(There are probably more strengths and weaknesses, but that's all I've got right now.)

Trivia:

  • Vaughan is named after the singer Sarah Vaughan, who was often called "The Divine One", or "The Divine Sarah Vaughan".
