Graves shaved and became new wukong

See, I couldn't really say what felt so wrong to me about that new splash... Now I can.

I hate this new wu. It looks so cartoony and not like someone rising to the top and not stopping for anything. It doesn't fit the wukong persona that his VO portray. WHile I can't say the old one exactly got this portrayal spot on either you can clearly tell by looking at Classic and General wukong that there is a difference in his stance and how he is holding himself showing a clear sign of him "reaching" the top in General. Choosing these 2 is based on the sole fact that they both have a VERY similar background making it easy to compare body language.

The new one just looks arrogant and thats not really how wukong is.

I think they changed wu because he and the new cass shared the same face on different bodies

Honestly his fur needs to be darker like his in-game model. Change that and the splash would be just fine.

I hate Wukong himself in the new splash, but I love the vibrant colors in the environment around him. More splashes need 'fun' color.

Wukong isn't arrogant-- he knows that he is a student.

So yeah. And the cloud (featuring in his E) is also part of that story.

So um, Wukong is based on a myth... and in that myth, Sun Wukong must overcome many trials. But eventually he becomes very powerful, and that end result of power is what Wukong means when he says "I will be the best." He means that he isn't the best, he knows that. But he knows that he can be, so he tries to be so.

He looks visibly bulkier in the new splash art than his actual model. That's my only real concern.

Pretty much convinced they altered it to look like the Jumanji boy because Cassiopeia's portrait looks like Wukong's and it was confusing people.

I need Tim Gunn's help in describing the new Wukong splash.
