Someone please hear me out
I've been wanting this for quite some time and after watching this with my boyfriend, I knew this would be the cutest skin to ever grace of this godforsaken game, should this thread be found by the right people and should they make it a reality.
If you haven't already, watch My Neighbor Totoro. It's a beautifully animated Studio Ghibli classic, and perhaps an all-time anime favorite, with Totoro being such a widespread and popular figure as a result. The movie itself is adorable to watch even while revisiting nearly a decade hence you first did. I highly recommend you take some time to watch this whenever you can, I think you'll really like it! If you don't have the time at all, at least be sure to watch the embedded video to get a good idea of what/where I'm getting at. It's pretty short and you should get what I'm trying to do immediately. And for those of you who've already seen it, you may have known the skin design I'm aiming for as soon as I mentioned the title of the movie.
And now that we're all on the same page about my unoriginal Bard skin, I want to say that: Yes, I do know that there have been other threads about this, but they didn't really seem to want it as much as I do, or realize where designs needed to be incorporated. Refer to the embedded video. It's all there. Here's my take; I hope someone can appreciate this and its uncanny resemblance as much as I do.
Skin name: My Neighbor Bard (I didn’t think of this, I just saw it in the other threads and I thought it was great)
Bard- Totoro
Passive (His Chimes)- Acorns (this wasn't in any particular video i could find, but in the movie, Totoro and the mini ones collect acorns in the forest)
Meeps- Tiny totoros
Horn- Small recorder
The blue one sits on his head with the leaf
Abilities and Animations: Q: Leaf like the one on his head W: Small mound of dirt with a sprouting plant (which signifies life) E: Green foresty-like tunnel and champions turn into a Cat Bus ( https://vimeo.com/15166847 ) like they turn into a penguin in snow day E R: BARD GROWS A HUGE TREE instead of just throwing a circle on you ( mostly in the first second but quickly fades into transparency and disappears, but the circle of invulnerability remains, of course. It’s green.
Q: Regular majestic bard animation for this ability W: He grows it like he grows plants, because it is a plant (see embedded video) E: He roars to call the bus and waves to open the tunnel ( https://vimeo.com/15166847 ) R: He grows the tree like he grows it in the movie (see embedded video) B (recall): Literally the scene from the embedded video. (00:5-00:10) then skip to 00:38, and then to 01:00. In this part, bard and his meeps start the ritual in a circle around a mound of dirt and every time they push up, they grow a larger plant. Bard and his meeps take about 5 seconds to fully grow the tree. About 1 second for each step of the plant’s life. At the last 5th second when the tree is huge, bard/totoro pulls out a top spinner from behind him and spins it exactly like he does at 01:25. All his meeps jump on his belly as he jumps on the top and they take off just in time. This takes up the final 2 seconds of the back and it all happens in one quick, fluid motion. What do you guys think?
Note: W and R animations are slightly different because W is a small plant and it took him one little push, but the tree took a much larger push.
I'm sorry this looks really long and daunting but I really felt like it would be such a perfect skin and I would buy it for me and all my friends and it would be so cute, especially while playing URF. I'm also really sorry I'm not very good at drawing or actual skin creation and I’m really sorry that I can’t do anything in terms of contribution.
I really hope this thread is seen by someone who can get this to the right place and eventually make this a skin for Bard. It would melt so many hearts and hopefully whoever wants it as much as I do. If you read this far, thanks for staying a while, and listening. It means a lot that someone at least reads this. I hope you guys liked my refined idea of the skin and I hope someone can point out any flaws in it. I know I'm asking for a lot and making a skin is probably no simple feat, but I really hope someone who can likes it enough to do it without feeling obligated to do so in any way. And again, if you haven't seen the movie, you really should. It's an adorable anime.

once again, I know there are other threads about it, but they don't address as much as I saw in the potential of the skin, and I think that was their flaw. Hopefully this thread does a better job and I can receive more feedback on the idea. Even a comment from a rioter saying something like "lol nice meme kiddo glhf with that" or "we cant do that so no" is still greatly appreciated.
oh oh and also i did some research and so far i havent found any copyright-related issues
