Playing one champion but looking like another?

I would love the option to play as one champion but appear as another.

I thought of this when looking at Nasus---I love his skills, stats and mechanics, but also thought it would be fun to take on the appearance of Sion when using Nasus' skills. Here's how Nasus' skills could be migrated into Sion's animations -

  • Nasus' passive (life steal) - nothing special;
  • Nasus' Q (empowering next basic attack) - upon activation, Sion's blade will have the same red glow that his Q now has, and the empowered strike will look like Sion's Q strike, just without the channeling;
  • Nasus' W (targeted slow) - will simply look like Sion's E, with Nasus' current W visual hitting the target;
  • Nasus' E (AOE) - will use the ground-smashing animation from Sion's R (at the end of the charge), with the ground marked by Nasus' current E visuals;
  • Nasus' R (self buff) - will look like Sion's passive upon death---dropping axe and going nuts.

Obviously this is a very limited example. It's probably impossible (or just too much work) to make this work across any two-champion combination, but it should still be a lot of fun to make it work for champs with similar kits (Garen and Darius?). I'm also guessing Riot's art team came up with champion animations that aren't actually used in the current kits. This could be a way to recycle some of them.

This will also have the potential to confuse other players---they may see a Sion dash out a Q without channeling and be caught off guard. To mitigate the confusion, this visual swap should be an option for all players. By default, all other players (and spectators) will still see the Nasus. Only I and players who opt-in will see the weird Sion.

Of course, Riot could charge a bit of RP for each pair of champions that are body-swapped this way.

I hope this makes sense and gets some support.

Thanks.

There are custom skins. I personally don't use them, so I don't know a great deal about it though.
