Champion idea: Name undetermined - Shadow Cleric
Hello,
A bit of a rough draft, but the concept is there. I imagine this champ having some form of tie to nocturne, zed, etc. Or could even fall into void champ category tbh. The idea is that he/she was a cleric that became obsessed/overtaken by darkness/shadow and really wants other champs to see things his/her way, basically like a cleric would but for the light. I feel like her W really speaks to this as she is drawn to where "light/sight" is via enemy wards and wants to remove them by consuming them.
As far as gameplay, she needs to have some form of mobility (E), (Q). As she will need to be skirmishing to use her passive to heal. I didn't want her to have a stun, etc. Or a 3 hit passive. She has above average vision control, i.e. wanting to spread darkness theme.
She brings an interesting mechanic to bot lane, I feel. Pre six focusing ADC to proc Champion passive and then trying to kill. Or focus the champion because she doesn't have access to passive until 6. Her passive restrictions make it so she needs to be with allies for her to heal off it, I feel that is necessary in order to keep her out of top lane or something.
I really like this idea because I enjoy supports that are not carries as far as damage, but they are able to make an impact. Playing this correctly, assisting your adc in damage while trying to keep him/her healthy/roaming and doing the same would feel great.
Q. Is interesting imo, basic ability really but it does give her some outplay potential.
Ability names are bad, they are placeholders. I just tried to think of the edgiest thing possible.
Role: Melee, Healer, Support,
Passive: Pact of Shadow - 1. Nearby Allies are healed for a % of damage done by champion. (If any ally is healed she receives that healing too. More allies, more spread % of healing, scales 1-18). ( 2.) (Large X minute CD) If a nearby ally would fall below 1 hp, they instead remain at 1 hp for X seconds.(probably less length than trnd ult) The affected ally has its movement speed and attack speed reduced for the duration, but auto attacks and abilities gain small amount of magic damage. The trade off of being enveloped in darkness for the duration of your "not dying" time.
Q: Living Anguish: lunge range: Attacks with a jumping uppercut using her weapon. If there is an enemy between champion and an ally, she will leap to the other side of attacked enemy champion
W: Taste of Shadow - Passive: Enemy Wards remain visible for champion longer than usual, if seen by Champion they are marked. Active: Consumes enemy ward for max health bonus. X Cooldown
E: Sever the Light - Champion dashes forward, displacing enemies she goes through and upon reaching destination attacks in a frontal cone.
R: Sacrifice of Darkness - Champion gains X% lifesteal for X Seconds and sacrifices a large portion of her health to heal all allies within her passive range(%). If champions hp would reach 0 upon casting she receives the benefits/negatives of passive Pact of Shadow and allies are healed for a larger %. If casted above threshold ally champions are healed for less.
For R i'm picturing something like below 30% hp champion goes to 1 Hp and heal is larger, procs her own passive, get lifesteal and attack speed buff. 31% of above its just a heal for allies near and she gains the lifesteal buff.
I don't really want to even try to provide ratios, thats not my job. However I believe AD based would be the best bet. AD makes more sense "lore" wise, and would lead me to believe she'd build support/bruiser. Aftershock, healing domination tree runes.
Thanks for reading.
