Minion skins?? CharacterJunkie on Reddit came up with an incredible idea to help promote team themes and add flavor to the maps. Check out what he has to say, then click his imgur link because it's got some pretty sick minion concepts. Someone hand this man a beer...this is pure genius!

"League has so many matching skin sets for champions now (Pool Party, Pentakill, Arcade, etc.) that it gave me a cool idea for the minions. If your team has all five champions wearing matching skins, you would unlock minion skins that match your team. Only real problem is that not all the champion skin sets have every role filled. This is actually a really good idea, maybe pre game you can vote on the minion skins people own for your team. Rito please add this.

What if instead of every minion being the same, their looks were randomized based on the skins of their team.

Problem is, nobody controls minions, which means if multiple people want to use a minion skin they bought either A. somebody's getting screwed or B. it's all client side, in which case what's the point?

A great idea that should definitely be considered riot gets more money and they can make cheap fast skin that can be released fast sets compared to the large scale skins that take months to make

Yes, this would be awesome. Have yet to see more than one person in a game using a champion skin. Perhaps Riot can advertise a game if a team of players is using all five of a particular skin, would be fantastic to watch/see it happen.

I believe that idea of it is not that bad, but I also believe that minions should be (in the name of carity) as constant as they can be. But I like it and so I propose just minor changes (upgrades) to their visual apperiance.

You know, some gems here and there, slightly different colour or some accesory on their hats etc.

THere is good example: Underworld Twisted Fate (or was it some other skin?) has visuals of his cards changed in a way that it is less visible/recognizable against the background and threfore its harder to dodge. And so I am afraid that bigger changes to minions could lead to similar results.

Mafia siege minions: A large minion in a suit with a bag of Molotov cocktails that they throw at each other/towers. Mafia super minions: Enormous thuggish minions wielding crowbars (purple) or tire irons (blue).
