[Champion Concept] An AD support/Top lane bruiser, resourceless
Lotus, Fist of Ionia
Lore TBA, is a monk like Lee Sin, trained with him, is not blind. From Ionia.
Lotus can be played as an AD support in bottom lane or as a bruiser in top lane. Manaless, uses cooldowns to manage abilities similar to Riven/Lee Sin/etc.
Passive: Deus ex Machina - a spectral hand floats above Lotus and is used for all her skills in caster form. It automatically does damage to nearby enemy champions that come within melee range, using her attack speed and 25% of her attack damage. When she uses an ability in caster form, all abilities go on a shared cooldown for 8 seconds (unaffected by CDR), during which time she swaps to melee mode. Swapping to melee mode refreshes all melee skills except ultimate, and being in melee mode increases her basic attack damage by Y.
Q: Grip 'n' Rip / Lay on Hands - in caster form, she sends her spectral hand to grab target allied champion (cannot be used on self), healing them and shielding them, and pulling the champion to her location (think allied Blitz grab or forced Thresh lantern). In melee mode, Lay on Hands heals a champion for N and increases their basic attack damage by M. If used on herself, these values are halved. Grip has a long cooldown.
Easy combo: double tap Q on target ally's hero profile at the left side of the screen to heal them twice while bringing them to your position and shielding them. Can be used over walls. Please be respectful of your teammates and do not use Grip in a toxic manner such as pulling them out of the dragon pit while they're soloing it, or using it and disrupting their creep-score farming.
W: Shadowplay / Barrage: in caster form, she commands her spectral hand to dance, boosting allied champions (but not her own) attack speed and basic attack damage for X seconds. In melee mode, Barrage resets the auto-attack timer and increases attack speed and basic attack damage for 6 seconds.
Easy combo: use this when you and an ally are pushing down a turret, first to buff your ally and then again to give yourself the buff.
E: Necrotic Strike / Salt the Wounds: in caster form, Lotus sends her spectral hand in a skillshot missile which if it strikes an enemy champion, it damages them and places upon them an anti-shield which absorbs healing. Not the same as Grievous Wounds, this eats Z points of healing before it allows the enemy champion to heal, or the debuff naturally falls off after 4 seconds. In melee mode, she does a PBAOE spinning attack which damages all targets around herself and applies Grievous Wounds to all targets NOT affected by Necrotic debuff.
Easy combo: try to Salt Wounds first, before you swap from melee back to caster mode, then apply Necrotic Strike for a quick double-whammy vs their healing/regeneration.
R: Crush/Suplex: note, use of one precludes the use of the other, putting both on their full cooldown. In caster form, sends her spectral fist to slam target area, dealing immense damage and stunning all targets. In melee mode, she leaps to target enemy champion and Singed-flips them toward the nearest allied champion, wherever that may be.
Using ult in teamfight: either Crush them when they clump up, or use Suplex as an easy pick against an isolated target. Note Suplex will flip them over walls, if its in the direction of the nearest allied champion. Try not to flip your opponent into an area that you cannot quickly get to.
Synergizes well with: Darius, Draven, Lee Sin, Janna, Blitzcrank, Thresh, Leona
Strong against: Mundo, Nasus, Soraka
Suggested items: Sightstone, shoes, Relic Shield into Targon's Brace (complete or sell later, your choice), Avarice Blade into Youmuu's, Zeke's Herald (core item, synergizes well with her kit), Trinity Force, Locket of the Iron Solari, Maw of Mammajamma, Talisman of Ascension if you don't buy Heart of the Mountain. You know the drill, buy the items you need, prioritizing CDR and AD.
When playing her as a support, think "Gangplank," and try to harass as much as possible. If they ingress to your position, quickly swap to melee mode and beat them up. Otherwise in caster form just use your skills to the benefit of your duo partner. Prioritize leveling skills in this order: R Q W E
As a bruiser top lane, reverse the order of your skills, pumping points into E first, then W and lastly Q. You are meant to use your caster form abilities as a way to segue into melee mode to deal the bulk of your damage and utility. Your caster form abilities are all on long, partially shared cooldowns, and your melee mode abilities are meant to be blown in a flurry of spam, at which point she can back off having won the exchange, or wait til her caster form skills come back up and she repeats the process.
Top lane, you'll want to start fights by using W just to get you into melee mode, then quickly use W again for the mini-Youmuu's buff it provides. Follow this up with E (your main damage ability), heal yourself with Q if necessary, and then when you transfer back into caster form you can tag them with E again to absorb any healing they may attempt to do to recover from the trade.
Bottom lane support, you'll want to use your Q to heal your partner as often as possible, or sit on it when you fear he may be overextending and need a quick escape. Buff your marksman with W whenever you begin trading with your lane opponents. Use E for some good damage whenever possible.
