Building the "Comprehensive Guide to Using Urgot" Textbook (A plea to never change The Urgot)

Here me out Rito... I'm an Urgot main. Maybe not the best one, but I've been playing Urgot a looooooooong time. And am just about ready to write a massive textbook about how to build, counter, and effectively play Urgot. This a fully serious proposition that I will follow through with. I plead for Rito to hear me out. Do not rework Urgot. Buff him, change his texture, nerf him, I don't care. But he DOES NOT need to be reworked at all.

The text I'm planning to write would include anything and everything Urgot. Statistics, match ups (For every champion), various possible positions (even support) builds, personal stories, counter tips, countering counter tips, team composition and lastly I'd like testimonies and peer reviews of other Urgot mains.

If there are any Urgot mains out there please contact me so we can collaborate on this project. I may even start a kickstarter/go-fund-me campaign if enough support is accomplished so this text can truly be a masterpiece. Of course the text would be updated (as any normal textbook would be) as the game updates. But it would all be in vain if Urgot would be reworked.

Everything that I'm proposing would be done for the purpose of educating individuals on the power and art-form of Urgot as a champion. So please, Rito, and the league community... Tell me what you think of this proposal. Offer me so support or incentive to go through with the project. It is a serious proposal that is feeling and looking more possible day by day.

-Yours truly: Urgotimus Prime (An Urgot Main).

I'd be interested in seeing this, although not for the reasons you probably think. :P

I completely agree with Riot that Urgot needs a full rework, and actually did an Urgot survey on the League boards and the League reddit page that I got about one hundred responses to. The results were...interesting. There was NO agreement among players (regardless of how much they liked and/or played Urgot) on what sort of character Urgot was, where he should be played, what he should build, what role he filled, or what abilities were core to his identity. Literally no trends in the data at all -- the highest confidence results were 61% of players saying a lock-on feature was core to his playstyle and 51% saying they feel he should play like a Juggernaut.

So I'm curious, because I'm interested in seeing all view of Urgot -- not because I think he's fine, but because I'm interested in proposing an Urgot rework that targets as many of them as possible while retaining some of his current feel.

I play Urgot quite a lot. One thing I hear people complain about Urgot's kit is his ult is not thematic enough. I have never understood this, as I always felt that it accurately represented Urgot's character quite well. What are some of your opinions on his ult?

i would be EXTREMELY grateful if you would play a match with me, especially if we could do that tonight around 10pm EST, i would love to see a master urgot. Any chance we could do that?

I am torn entirely on Urgot needing a gameplay update and the idea of such a guide.

Chimalpopica has created such a guide, but alas, he has retired and thus his guide slowly gathers cobwebs.

When people say that Urgot is a horrible ADC

They make me laugh.

No, everything about urgot is terrible and he needs a rework. I feel for you, partially because you like terrible things, and partially because this terrible thing you like is going to be made less terrible, which might mean you'll no longer like it.
