So, I have gone over to S@20 and I found that Blood Moon Elise was going to be released. To be honest, I really liked the pink on it. Naturally, when the skin was mentioned with color changes, I found that it was quickly retconned to a deep red.
Now while I usually like the ideas matching the concept, this just doesn't feel right on this little(big?) Spider(Human?) Riot please explain the reasoning behind the color change?
The color change was based off of the feedback that we had received from players when she hit the PBE. Players felt that she looked more 'Popstar' or 'Heartseeker' than Blood Moon, and didn't fit as cohesive as other skins in the line. We listened to the feedback we'd received, and adjusted her color.
With that being said, we've been listening to both sides of the issue - both the players who like the pink, as well as the players who like the red. The team has been discussing what, if anything, we're going to do regarding the final color of the skin.
I've said this a few times around the boards, but it's super important that you guys, as players, comment and talk about what you do like, as well as what you don't like when it comes to new content. We can only make changes based off of the feedback we receive, so having well-rounded feedback is awesome to have!
I prefered the pink one.
Why not pink for human form and red for spider form?
Green Atlantean Syndra was better and should go back to green in her texutre rebalance.
No you need it all pink. It would look silly going from pink to red all the time.
Just a thought but what about a mix of the two colors? It would be really cool to have something along the lines like a spiral or something.
I don't always sign on the boards, but when I do, it's to comment on something important like voicing the opinion that although red may fit the 'theme' better, pink is aesthetically superior. Reducing the visual appeal of a skin simply to bring it in-line with a theme doesn't seem so sound.
Why not just let her keep the pink in human form and look better than way, and then let her be all blood moony when she transforms. I mean, that IS he true self after all, so maybe she could be like a bloodmoon spy, hiding her real colors until she transforms to show he true self?
Plus you know like... compromise and stuff. Pretty sure the pink crowd all like her pink just for the human form.
I will got with my pink/red mask and spider idea. With that you can see she not a popstar or heartseeker
