Rakan without matching skin in the new line of Invictus Gaming 2019 skins.

Dear Riot, this is directed towards the skins team.

Upon seeing the designs designated to the winners of League of Legends World Championship 2019, I am in awe at such pretty and admirable skins. I love how you engage the players on the team to help them create something they are passionate about. However, after seeing Rakan without Xayah, it's completely broken my heart. I myself am a Rakan main, my friend is a Xayah main and we play the champions in bot lane till we are blue in the face. We both adore this game and these champions, seeing them without each other is heartbreaking. We have all the skins up to now but that has been broken, because we cant match. I love the Rakan skin and yet, playing it and not matching is literally the worst thing to ever happen. My friend is heartbroken, I don't really want to play with a skin on while my friend has nothing to match it with. It was explained in a Reddit thread that they would always have matching skins, so when i heard the rumours of them making a Rakan skin, I wouldn't have doubted for a second that they would add a Xayah skin to match. To conclude my thoughts, I ask, may we please hope to see a Xayah skin to match Rakan in the IG skin line? Thank you.

I saw a new Rakan skin is to be released and that, as a Rakan main, makes me happy. But I also saw that no Xayah skin is going with it and I feel really disapointed, sad I'd say, heartbroken, that's the word. You should know that the romance beetween these 2 character has been taken really seriously by the players, not only by me. Riot even choose them to be the first champions figures !

I understand that this is the World Championship skin, and only 5 champion deserve it each year, but could it be possible to give Xayah a skin that fits Rakan one ? Like a Fangirl Xayah ? Coach Xayah ? Stratege Xayah ? Anything that is in relation with the championship, and visually in the line of Rakan ?

Please Riot, give their love back ! What am I supposed to do ?

I won't go into as much detail (or animosity) as I did in the other topic (particularly because this is way better presented than the other one) but I'll still lay it down:

Priority for these skins is not to keep up to the characters lore or their themes, but rather only about what the players wish to have as their personal skins. That's all there is to it.

Essentially the only reason this is a thing is because Baolan wanted Rakkan and Jackeylove wanted Kai'Sa. There's no plot or ill intent from Riot to "break the lovers apart". it's just the players picking their favorite characters for the Team skin. Remember these don't count towards the regular skin schedule and don't follow the same rules either.

I also believe that if there's a cool concept in the future that only works for one of the lovers, that there's no harm in making a single skin for the character is the idea just works. I like that they give them matching skins, but I believe you can bend that rule every now and then to give em unique outfits that can still look cute together.

Personally I'm glad to see them no longer shackled to each other in terms of skins, it really limits their individual potential. If you want to match you'll always have classic, cosmic, sweetheart and SSG skins to do so with.

Honestly, It is understandable since the IG skins were all chosen by the players on that roster. Probably the only reason that Xayah didnt get a matching skin was because of that reason. The SSG skins from 2017 were all chosen by the roster with CoreJJ choosing Rakan, and Ruler choosing Xayah. However it does seem wrong to release one without the other because Scruffy replied to a question posted on the lol subreddit telling a player that:

"Yea, the plan is keeping with the matching skins." - here is the post, it is the second question asked.

Maybe since Rakan gets a standalone skin maybe Xayah will get the same? Nobody will know for now at least, but it does indeed seem wrong for riot to release a standalone skin for champions who were designed to be together.

The main thing that keeps me playing is Xayah and Rakan, the moment I saw their animated short and read up about them I fell in love.

Releasing one without the other feels kinda crappy too, I almost always force my supp friend to buy the Rakan skin to pair with my Xayah and whilst there are others, it'd feel kinda weird not having that extra choice of customization. (also a goth birb xayah would be amazing)

I know Rakan and xayah are a thing.. but seriously. Most people just want their main to get a skin. You want your main AND you friends main to get skins.. at the same time.

I mean before you go out with your significant other do you make sure you are in matching outfits every time?

I hope Rakan/xayah are not eternally glued to the hips when it comes to skins. Some, cool. All, lame.

Yay, so two years in a row i WONT be buying a sup skin from worlds :l it kinda sucks xayah didnt get one yeah but the fact that rakan got one once again i think should just prove they shouldve picked someone else tbh, sucks to see the same champ get one two years in a row imo

Maybe just make a Fangirl/Coach/Amateur/E-Girl Xayah Skin?
