Yorick rework theory

So, I was recently thinking about the upcoming Yorick rework, and noticed that he was originally added to the schedule back when Taric was released. He was then delayed by Ryze, and now he is set to be the next rework. But I wouldn't be surprised if we see the assassin update before his, and here's why. I think Riot is planning a Halloween release. Think about it; he's a zombie like champion who comes from the shadow isles. He's probably the theme off this year's harrowing! A Riot employee recently said there won't be any large events this year, but who's to say we won't see a Bilgewater size event for Yorick? It's a possibility. Let me know what you think!

You do realize Halloween is before the preseason where the assassin update will be released, right?

Yorick hasn't been talked about for a long time..in fact I've never seen anyone play him. Is there a specific reason why he's underplayed or something?

. He was then delayed by Ryze

No. He was NEVER delayed by another update. They have multiple teams that work on champion updates. One worked on Ryze (who first worked on Taric), another has been working on Yorick, while the other gets ready for the Assassin Update.

Yorick will be out before the end of the season, and the Assassin Update is set for the Pre-season.

Yorick wasn't delayed by Ryze, there are at least 2 teams working on different champ updates at any given time. Poppy's team began working on Yorick when they finished her. Taric's team, which was working on him simultaneously with Poppy, jumped to Ryze when Taric launched. Ryze, however, already had a moderately completed new model in the works from partial work last year, so he was leaps and bounds ahead just because of that. All they had to do was polish it up, rework the skills, and he was done. Given that Yorick is incredibly complicated, given the need to utterly overhaul his skills, the need to recreate his model and at least 3 different ghoul models, and to rework his VO, it will naturally take a good bit of time to finish working on him. They've stated several times that he's not being delayed by anything, he's just an intensive champion with a lot more moving parts than most other champions.
