How to revive league

Good suggestions, I like the idea of having a more involved story/lore involvement. I don't agree with your separation of competition and fun however. Things are more enjoyable when they're challenging because there's more risk involved. If you're not good at a game, you have to practice until you get better. As you get better your success and win rate increase and winning at any game is usually more fun than losing. Some of my funnest games however have been loses. Why? because it was a very close competitive match.
