i like playing shen in top but it is so weak wining top lane with shen is a dream for me even i think ww are much more better in top ( i know ww just play jg ) i like shen Riot hate shen do U think riot change shen ? make it more powerful (sry for my bad English)
well he is not actually a weak champ,yeah maybe his basic attacks against minions and so are weak
but in lane if you got a lot of minions with you just E ,Q ,W and he will take a lot of damage from the minions and from you because of your taunt and after that just back off a little,farm and do it again when your energy is full
but im sure you already know that and after you get sunfire that already got a small buff you will give a lot more damage and also don't forget about titanic hydra just use it when you land your E and it will do good
and yeah i will be very happy if he will get a small buff and i dont think riot hate shen and soon he will get a new skin
if you get trouble playing with him i recommend watching ''tricky travster'' on youtube he is really good with shen and he made alot of guides that can help you
Good recommendation on Tricky. He is a good Shen player. Sadly, his last youtube video he mentions that he is taking a break on League. But his past videos are still worth watching.
Sunfire cape is a rather small buff compared to what the enemy champions can buy against you. I notice people keep mentioning to buy sunfire cape to help with farm, but forget that you cannot control the ticks of damage it does. Not controlling the ticks could possibly mean losing more farm. Making it cheaper by only 150g doesn't help much when you have to remember Tiamat (Titanic Hydra) went up 150g in a past patch. Also keep in mind, saying he received a buff through an item is making him an item dependent champion. Another thing to remember for anyone that's going to say his 'E' 'W' and 'R' are powerful abilities....they have terrible CDs. Granted, his 'Q' can have a fast CD, but only if the target is between you and your blade on its return.
BUT!!!! Keep in mind that Shen is not getting any sort of nerf's! Some champions got either a small, moderate, or large nerf. Other champions getting nerfed while Shen being left alone means his laning got a little easier. Which, 'balances' the playing field for Shen a bit.
But......it would be nice if Shen could get a buff to himself as a champion, and not by means through an item.
