Icarus, The Nova Kid
Introduction- This is my second champion idea I have thought of and posted. Most of what you see is place holder stuff such as the passive, and probably everything else. I'm going to try to see about getting a friend to do some concept art to better represent how this champion looks and how his abilities appear. With this kit I took some inspiration from the Dota 2 hero Pheonix with the ultimate. I changed some aspects about the ultimate. and came up with some ideas for the rest of the kit, and am still thinking of different ability ideas! With the current kit I wanted him to feel like a hero that would make sacrifices to put out his damage, such as with his passive having to get to a low amount of health to be able to do the most damage with his abilities. Adding onto the idea of sacrificing I came up with the ultimate to try to show even more emphasis on that theme by making him have the unique mechanic of a forced suicide or death. I wanted the ultimate since it was going to kill him no matter what when he cast it to have a large impact on fights and offer a unique way of contributing to it, while keeping to the super nova theme. I'd like to ask for any thoughts or advice on this concept as I have enjoyed thinking of champ concepts, and also want to improve on it.
Theme- Fire/Super Nova.
Primary role- Jungler, Fighter
Passive- Heart of the Nova- When Icarus's Health drops below 30% he deals an additional 6/8/10% bonus damage for 5 seconds. (Health used to determine is not equal to Molten Shell's health.)
Cooldown- 30/25/20 seconds
Q- Nova Fist- Icarus infuses the power of a super nova into his fist punching the target dealing a large amount of physical damage in an aoe around the target. In addition it also slows the target for 20% for 2 seconds.
Physical damage dealt= 70/80/95/115/135 (+.8 Bonus AD) Aoe range- 165 Cooldown- 6.5/6/5.5/5/4.5 Mana Cost- 35 mana note- resets auto attack.
W- Fired up!- Passive- Icarus stores a charge every 10 seconds to a max of 3 charges. Active- Icarus Unleashes a wave of heat in an area around him dealing magic damage.
Magic damage dealt= 45/55/65/80/90 (+.6 Bonus AD). Cooldown on active- 4/3.5/3/2.5/2 Range- 375 Mana Cost- 35/40/45/50/55
E- Lava Slide- Icarus heats the ground beneath him to surf towards the players cursor quickly. Icarus stops upon either reaching the cursor or hitting terrain. Additionally any enemies that Icarus passes through on the way are burned for 3 seconds dealing magic damage over time.
Magic damage dealt 30/35/40/45/50 (+.7 Bonus AD) over 3 seconds. Cooldown- 10/8/7/6.5/5 Mana Cost- 50/55/60/65/70
R- Blaze Of Glory- Icarus performs the ultimate sacrifice letting The Nova consume him turning him into a Molten Shell that does a massive aoe of magic damage over 6 seconds. Upon the Molten shell landing it explodes dealing an additional amount of magic damage. If the Molten Shell is not destroyed before it impacts the ground Icarus is executed and his re-spawn timer is reduced by 15 seconds. If Molten Shell is destroyed before it impacts the ground it is counted as a kill for the enemy team. While being/becoming the Molten shell Icarus is un-able to cast any abilities or activate any active items and is immobilized.
The Health of the Molten Shell is equal to 110% of the mana consumed when casting this ability. Molten Shell has 5% increased armor and magic resistance compared to Icarus.
Range- 600 Magic damage over time- 300/450/650 (+.8 Bonus AD) Explosion Magic damage- 100/250/350 (+.7 Bonus AD) Cooldown- 120/100/90 Mana Cost- 100% of current mana.
(ability note- Can be cast during Lava slide and will have the molten shell finish the dash to the location. Molten shell cannot be smited.)
