I see that Riot is taking a while to release Taric's rework, so I thought I would chime in a few of my Ideas that you could possibly take into consideration for an Update on my favorite support.

Abilities Passive

Gem Herald

Taric uses his magic to absorb energy from Turrets, not being near structures will weaken Taric.

Destruction of a Turret: 50 Armor Destruction of an Inhibitor: 25 Armor

While Under Radius of an Enemy Turret/Inhibitor +1-30% Turret Resistance [+1 Per second under turret] If no Allied Minions are under turret, the turret will always target Taric, no matter what his allies do.

While Under Allied Turret +25% Armor +20% Health

Q: Resonance Crystal Taric Summons a Crystal from the Core of Runeterra, reflecting abilities targeted onto the crystal by allies into a cone, dealing the damage in an AOE area, also applying the effects

W: Defender of the Stones

Taric forms a gem barrier from magical essence, either protecting an ally from some damage, or being placed on the ground to create an Impassable Barrier to block projectiles [Like a Yasuo wall, except also like an Anivia wall], this consumes some of Taric's power, causing him to deal less damage during the duration.

E: Hammer Strike

Taric Swings his hammer with all his might, If it hits a target, It will smash their armor, creating a AOE blast that takes armor from the enemy, and increases nearby allies armor, If it misses, Taric will throw his hammer, knocking back enemies, but leaving him unable to attack while it is not in his hands [Regenerates after 10 seconds, can be completely skipped if hammer is picked up]

R: Heart of Gem

Taric raises his hammer into the Air, reflecting the Sun onto it to create a dazzling light, Inspiring allies to fight with more force, increasing attack speed and basic attack damage, also blinding enemies with it's purity.

Basic Gameplay

Taric is a Siege and Defense character

You either go all in, or play it safe.

He has defensive and offensive abilities, so it is up to you whether you go tank or offensive.

His W is effective for keeping him strong while defending a tower from a siege, as blocking the minions can give Taric some time to set up a Resonance Crystal so he can use his basic attacks in an AOE manner.

His Q makes him viable as a support, considering if his ally kills multiple minions by basic attacking his crystal, they will gain gold for multiple minions.

His Ultimate is viable in team fights, and can really push the enemy team off balance to allow for some strong plays His E is overall effective for protecting allies from close and Far

E-ven though Taric is left without a weapon, the knockback can be used to escape or push an enemy away from an ally at a distance.

Here is where Taric really shines His Passive allows Taric to defend and Offend without taking too much punishment, yet leaves him weak when not doing one of those things, making it hard for Taric to thrive when faced One Versus One in a place like the jungle.

When Confronted in the Jungle, it is a good idea for Taric to just summoner 4 or summoner 6 away.

Taric however suffers also greatly when it comes to being attacked by an enemy with a whopping amount of movement, being able to skip his wall and rip him to pieces will really work well against him

So I will list some possible counters [Characters that can remove him from under tower, or completely ignore his barrier]

Blitzcrank Thresh Ahri Riven Zed Yasuo Zac

He'd work well against

Udyr Rammus Rumble Warwick Sion

Taric works well against Champions with a lack of jumping abilities and pulling attacks.

I'd really love to see Riots opinion on this, so If you are a Rioter, or just a friendly player, Please tell me what i could improve on for this concept and what you may like about it [If anything]

Taric's passive with enemy turrets is already a BIG no-no. The main point for turrets in lol are to be powerful protection for its allies and a major milestone to enemies for progressing down each lane. Getting one or two tank items gives a naturally beefy champ the ability to easily tank turret damage and give himself or his team just the time they need to secure a kill. Taric having the natural ability to resist the immutable damage of turrets is something that wouldn't even be considered.

Taric will be either in the patch with Aurelion Sol or the next patch after
