[Champion Concept] Orion, The Spectral Saviour

The design for this champion would be Celestial being with a Messiah Complex.(Think someone with a desperate need to sacrifice them self) They (not really a man/woman, more of a mass of space) are based around the chaos of team fights, and thrive against teams with bad communication.

-Abilities Passive: Burden to Bear - The last ally affected by one of Orion's Spells becomes Orion's Burden. Orion receives 5 - 10% (based on level) of the damage that ally would receive instead. Q Spell: Offering (5 - 20 Seconds) - Target ally Champion. The targeted Champion gains bonus Health and Mana regen equal to 150% - 300% of Orion's regen. Orion loses all Health and Mana regen during this time. W Spell: Stinging Sight - Orion places a ward within 300 units. This ward lasts indefinitely (until deactivated by pressing W again, or not having enough health to upkeep) Costs 1 (+1 per second) health to upkeep. Rank up increases sight range.

(It's a lot harder to explain for these ones.) E Spell: A Change Of Heart - Target Enemy Champion. The Allied champion currently affect by "Burden to Bear" has their Hit-box switched with targeted enemy Champion. (Basically each teams have to attack the affected ally to deal damage to the affected enemy.) The marked champions can attack each other. To Orion's allies, that affected enemy becomes untargetable, but to the enemy team, Orion's affect ally would remain targetable. All attacks from enemy's directed at Orion's affected ally DO NOT damage anyone (as it would be friendly fire). R: Martyrdom: Target Ally Champion. Orion receives 100% of the damage that Ally would receive for 8 seconds instead of allied Champion. (Calculated as True Damage that is then divided by 2) Orion can still receive damage from other sources, though damage is received as normal. If Orion is killed during this time, the affected ally receives 33% of the damage Orion received during the Ultimate. (Basically whoever it's cast on differs all damage taken to Orion instead of them.)

-Abilities in-depth E-R Combo: In-game theoretical example: 1) Orion casts R on an allied Vayne, allowing Orion to take the damage Vayne would receive. 2) Orion casts E on the enemy Jinx. Since Vayne was the last one to be affected by one of Orion's abilities (R in this case) Vayne and Jinx now have their hit-boxes swapped. This would cause the enemy to have to attack Jinx, in order to deal damage to Orion, to try to kill Orion, to finally open up Vayne to being damaged.

Q+W combo: while not particularly harmful by themselves. In tandem this creates a drain of 15 health for a rank 1 Q, and a drain of 210 health at max rank Q

-Lore

I live What am I? It's cold, very cold, too cold. How can I be so cold? I can not feel. Who is cold? It's not me. I can not feel. They are cold. Everyone. They can feel. Cold. I cannot allow this. They must not feel what I must feel They can feel, I must feel. I can not feel. I will feel through them, for them. Cold. I am cold, so they are not. This is what I am. I am cold. I will die. Must die.

Friends:Bard, Zilean, Karthus. Rivals:Aatrox, Leona, Kayle.

Quotes (To be expanded of course) Selection: "I must feel." Attacking: "I feel your pain," "Your pain is mine." Movement: "Find them," "Forward" Taunt: "You? You I let go," "You will feel my pain," Joke: "Empathy? What is that?" "Hit me, hit them, hit yourself for all I care" Upon Using E: "Confused?" "Them" Upon casting R: "Live," "I will die," "A Sacrifice"

Addressing Issues:

  1. Q is giving regen not health & mana. (Sorry about that missed word Djinn)
  2. Quotes are WIP, this champ isn't going to be 1350 IP on release.
  3. Q would not be intended for team-fights, it's for laning and keeping the carry healthy when roaming. If you guys think this is weak it could also donate movespeed along with regen, so the carry could keep up with an Orion with Mobility Boots.
  4. "E could be used to troll squishy allies." Yes, yes it could. The point for this ability is to be cast on an enemy, and the enemy team does not realize, meaning they would continue to attack your affected ally, which would do nothing as it is now your enemy.
  5. "No damaging abilities?" Nope, no hard CC either. This Champion is about buffing an ally immensely. (Synergizeing with champions like Vayne Vayne , who want to dive in. Or Jinx Jinx who wants to live long enough in a team fight to get that passive going and mop the floor.)

literally the first carry support

The kit seems good (though a bit confusing at first). I do recommend expanding the quotes section as most champions have dozens and though this is more of a personal preference some explanation of the friends and rivals section would be nice. Overall +1 nice job. :)

For E, you have to add some sort of damage amp to your own team attacking the ally and possibly damage reduction to the enemy that got switched, because otherwise it has a huge risk to completely troll a squishy carry by essentially placing them inside the other team.

Passive: Burden to Bear - The last ally affected by one of Orion's Spells becomes Orion's Burden. Orion receives 5 - 10% (based on level) of the damage that ally would receive instead.

Interesting passive. Probably fairly weak though, all things considered. 10% damage is a halfway decent amount, but 5% at level 1-3 is...pretty pitiful.

Q Spell: Offering (5 - 20 Seconds) - Target ally Champion. The targeted Champion gains bonus Health and Mana regen equal to 150% - 300% of Orion's. Orion loses all Health and Mana regen during this time.

This needs to be cut completely. Best strategy with this ability existing is for Orion to build straight health, use an ability on a target and sit at the fountain. A build of Warmog's / Face of the Mountain alone would give his target 3900 health, that scales with the target's resists.

Let's assume we manage to hit end-game, for example. Orion doesn't get much: he only finishes four items. Warmog's, Face of the Mountain, Locket of the Iron Solari, and Righteous Glory. That's 800 + 500 + 400 + 600, or 2300 bonus health. Meaning his carry suddenly goes from 2k up to 8.9k health. Or his Tank builds Guardian Angel, Thornmail, Cinderhulk, Zz'Rot Portal, Merc Treads, and Banshee's Veil.

Let's look at that tank. Let's say it's...Rammus. Base level 18 health is 2026. With this build (Cinderhulk + Banshee's Veil as health items) he gets +937 bonus health from those two items, totaling 2963 health. His total armor from items and stats is 96 + 100 + 60 + 50 (306), and his total MR is 53 + 50 + 60 + 25 + 55 (243). That's a lot of tank.

Now Orion hits him with that Q, giving 6.9k bonus health, multiplied by Cinderhulk up to 8,625 bonus health. Rammus is now an unkillable juggernaut with over ELEVEN THOUSAND health on top of resists both of which are over 240 (without his W), and Guardian Angel to revive him at nearly 3k. Oh, and 10% of the damage dealt to him is instead dealt to the Orion sitting on the fountain.

Now imagine this is Volibear instead. His W has a base damage value of 15% of his bonus health. That's almost 1500 damage right there on a basic ability.

W Spell: Stinging Sight - Orion places a ward within 300 units. This ward lasts indefinitely (until deactivated by pressing W again, or not having enough health to upkeep) Costs 1 (+1 per second) health to upkeep. Rank up increases sight range.

This has serious anti-synergy with his Q, as he gives health to someone else, then has to pay health to keep up a ward. Also, this is pretty painful after just a few seconds: it's not sustainable for anything but short-term vision, is so range-limited that you could just walk there, and basically (due to those factors) will be used as nothing but checking bushes. Feels like a dead ability.

(It's a lot harder to explain for these ones.) E Spell: A Change Of Heart - Target Enemy Champion. The Allied champion currently affect by "Burden to Bear" has their Hit-box switched with targeted enemy Champion. (Basically each teams have to attack the affected ally to deal damage to the affected enemy.) The marked enemies can attack each other.

This one will be all but impossible to visually communicate, and breaks several league rules (game clarity, not being able to target your own allies). Definitely opposed to it, both conceptually and in practice.

I think this would work better as just "Orion recieves 100% of the incoming damage that target Ally would receive for 8 seconds. This damage is reduced by Orion's armor and magic resist as normal." Then just shorten the duration to something like 3-4 seconds.

So....no damaging abilities? I'm all for the health/stat sharing between allies though; I think that's an area that can be expanded upon in the league of me!me!ME!

I like this idea but I do see one problem not listed by the other comments, and that's with the ultimate itself, lets say that orion casts his ult but the ally who would be affected by it is dead, they got killed by chance before orion could cast his ult, would it then swap his and the target enemy's hitboxes and if this is the case, would the enemy take the burden of his spells health costs as for game purposes the enemy is considered to be orion. just a thought ^_^ good work on the champion though
