Lore - The Master was born and raised in an irregular Ionian household. His father was a master swordsman and his mother a cunning spy. By their hand they taught him the ways of assassination. When he was ten his parents sent him on a small training mission. This was supposed to be an exercise just to test their abilities. The exercise went horribly wrong and his instructor and ten of the fifteen trainees were killed by an unknown assailant. Instead of being scared the master felt a sense of extreme calmness. He battled the assailant for hours. After they were both weary the assailant smiled and dashed towards the young master with overwhelming bloodlust. The master dodged his attack by a mere hair and seeing an opening he struck the killing blow...or so he thought. The master was struck with a great pain and collapsed on the floor grasping at his chest. As he lost consciousness he looked up and saw the assailant twirling a knife in his hand.
"Well that was an interesting battle"
He awoke in a strange white room.
"You must be this master I've been hearing so much about"
He looked towards the voice that was talking and saw that it was a pulsing red orb.
"Who are you?" He entered a defensive stance only to gasp in pain as his wounds reopened
"Relax I'm not here to hurt you" the voice chimed soothingly "I only wish to make a deal" The master looked at him suspiciously
"Do you wish to exact revenge against the man who attacked you?"
The master shook his head while he stood up carefully. "I was beaten fair and square I have no right to go after him." The ball seemed to be surprised and whirled around the master. "This isn't how it usually goes" it mumbled to itself "Well uhm... How about erm... I'm at a loss. I saved you because I figured you'd be angry and full of resentment." The master shrugged and walked around the room
"What do you plan on doing then?" The voice questioned
"I plan to go back to my parents and train harder. Now how do I get out of here?"
The voice was baffled but teleported him outside back into the battlefield he was attacked at. It seemed to have only been a few hours since the attack as the sun was setting. Sore and weak The Master trekked back home.
Returning home his parents greeted him with tears and showered him with attention. He explained everything that had happened up until he had passed out intentionally leaving out the strange encounter with the voice. His parents listened intently and asked if he would continue to train or would he leave the life of danger. He happily replied that he would stay in the world of murder saying that he has nowhere else to go. His parents smiled and started his training back up even harder than before
Years passed and he became the strongest of the household easily surpassing his father and mother and after his twenty-first birthday he was given his final challenge. He was asked to meet his father outside of the house. His father stood there with nothing but a twirling knife in his hand
The master remembered that same knife. The knife that was ripped from his very chest. His scars aches and he had only one question
"Why?"
"I could see it in your eyes when you were younger. You were tired of the assassin life even though you had only just begun. I had to keep you in somehow." His father was on the verge of tears "I needed you to carry on the family line" Betrayed and hurt anger swelled up inside of him. He lunged towards his father and struck with all his might. His father sidestepped and struck him. The battle went on for three hours. It was a one sided match. Breathing heavily and covered in wounds the master glared at his father
"I had faith in you. I had thought that you could kill me. Maybe I was wrong. This time I'll finish what I started." He raised his blade towards the master and brung it down. The master closed his eyes but death never came. His world went white and he opened his eyes. A red ball was floating in front of him.
"Well that was a dramatic turn of events" The ball said excitedly. "I come here with an offer that you cannot refuse". The ball said charmingly. The master looked hesitant but maid a motion to go on.
"I can sense the anger inside of you. I can give you the power to kill your father, but you must make a contract with me. Since you're quite the interesting fellow I'll lessen the harshness of the contract. Originally you will have to be my slave and such but all I ask is that you continue to go down this road of assassins and become the strongest of them all." The master looked strangely at the orb and swallowed harshly. He thought about it and decided
"No"
The orb looked utterly shocked, if orbs can looked shocked, and asked why.
"Because I will defeat this man by my own hands". The orb sighed greatly and thought of another way to coerce him into joining him. The orb then disappeared and reappeared with a strange object.
"If you form the contract I'll give you this." The orb undid the wrapping and showed a beautifully forged black blade with a crimson ruby engraved into the handle. The master was practically drooling and looked up asking if he could pick it up. The orb gave it to him and he have it a few test swings.
A perfect fit.
"I'll accept the deal" The orb made an action akin to rolling its eyes and rushed towards the master. He was filled with a strong power and screamed in pain. His hair turned white his eyes went bloodshot. The contract was formed and he gasped for air.
"Oh and another thing. Me and armor don't mix too well. The metal interferes with my connection too much." The master shrugged since he never used much anyway.
"Send me back". The white scenery changed back into the second before he will be struck be his fathers killing blow. Time was moving in slow motion and he easily dodged. Time resumed and his father looked surprised.
"What happened to you?" His father entered a defensive stance.
"I've made a deal with the devil. I think" he chuckled and lunged forward his newfound power made him feel great. He turned the fight around almost instantly and an hour later his father was weak and covered in wounds. As he was about to strike the killing blow he disappeared. He was about to turn around when he felt a strong pain in his chest. Looking down it was the same attack that took him down when he was ten. He kneeled down and gasped for air. When he was ready to give in he heard the voice.
"Calm down and relax. Channel your energy into the air around you. Imagine where you wish to be." He followed the voices advice and regulated his breathing. He imagined himself behind his father and disappeared. He reappeared behind his father and slashed forward. His fathers eyes widened in fear.
"You..." He coughed up blood. He turned around and threw sand into the masters face out of pure desperation. This was no longer a teaching lesson. This was a man trying to kill another man. His father ran towards the house and almost made it to the door, but he stopped dead in his tracks. A blade was plunged straight through his heart. Tears streamed down his face. The master ripped the blade out. He felt a twinge of remorse but proceeded to wipe the blood off the sword. The door opened and his mother appeared in front of him. She looked sad but proud. Like she had lost her husband to the war but was happy he died fighting. She welcomed him in and gave him a book. She said no more as she went to tend to her husbands corpse. A note was attached to the book.
"My dear son, I presume I have been defeated by you and I leave you this technique. This was taught to me by my father and he was taught by his father. This family technique will allow you to imbue blades with your energy and rip them out when they least expect it. Be careful though as the technique has never been fully mastered and can cause you fatal harm if used incorrectly. I wish you the best of luck my son." A sense of sadness overwhelmed him but he pushed it away. He opened the book and read the technique. Weeks passed and he started to learn the technique. After almost three years he had finally finished the technique. He was ready to start his own life.
"Don't forget your duty towards me.."
The voice echoed in his head. He rolled his eyes and marched forward. He knew exactly what he wanted to do. He wanted to carry on his fathers legacy. He wished to carve a new path into the assassins of the world. He knew there was only one way to do that, and that was to defeat every assassin on the rift.

Gameplay
Laning - Azure is made to be in the jungle but can be played in the mid lane. Typical jungle routes start at gromp and end at scuttled after wolves and blue.
Ganking - ping for your laner to signal you're going to help. Then Bouncing strikes onto a low health minion then onto another if you can. If you can't, bounce onto the lowest health enemy to proc your passive slow. Then use your handle strike to stun and apply as many of your w as possible. When they run away you activate your Runic Knives and come out with a clean kill.
Another way to gank is if the enemy is at low health you can channel your ultimate Return of the Master. Your ult is a very strong execute ability and can kill an enemy if they are low enough. If your ult doesn't kill them you can stun them then apply your Knives and bounce onto them and then activate your knives. That will let you get away with a clean kill.
Teamfights - Teamfights aren't Azures strongpoint and takes precision and timing to get in and out. With some cooldown reduction you can use your bouncing strikes to grab the ADC after your team initiates. Stunning them and applying Knives stacks allows for a strong setup kill. Once you have enough stacks on the ADC you can bounce
onto another priority target. Rinse and repeat until you have two targets stacked up and as they turn around rip it from them. Getting at least one target allows for quick follow ups from your team. If they aren't being sweeped by the enemy team.
Build Paths - Being a typical AD Assassin you want to build two things. Attack damage and Cooldown Reduction, and of course lots of blades. Ionian boots, deaths dance, youmuus, and warriors enchantment will round off your cooldown reduction. Afterwards a ravenous and a bloodthirster will grab you some lifesteal or you can go for a Blade of the Ruined king and a Duskblade for the tankier targets. Azure is a very strong glass cannon that is meant to do one thing and that is kill his targets as fast and as cleanly as possible.
Open to any suggestions :D
