Item to Extend Abilities

Since we have Rapid FireCannon, which extends auto attack range, can we have an item that would extend abilities? It could be a small amount that would be extended.

Extend as in increasing the range of an ability?

I don't know if people would really want Ezreal to be able to poke from even further away.

How would that work with abilities like Anivia R, Garen E, Janna Q, or any dash ability? It would be a mechanical nightmare, as well as a balance one.
