Leaver Assist, No More 4v5s (

In the event a team has a leaver, there should be either a bot to fill in for the leaver, or a separate queue where people can join a game in the place of the individual that left. Example: Say your Leona support leaves at 15 minutes (RQ, their pizza just got there, whatever), after a short time (2 mins?) they are either taken over by a bot, or someone connects through a queue meant to fill in for leavers. The "new" Leona comes in with the exact same items and everything.

I'd rather have a leaver then have a bot on my team, the enemy team will only just find a way since bots just aren't as good as regular players. And even if riot programmed a new type of bot that is better, it is still abusable.

OR one of the enemy team randomly gets booted from the game...4v4.

this is a good idea but if i could suggest instead of letting them pick up another players pieces have the game refund the items that were bought for their full prices and refund the skill points so the new player can make his own purchase choices and build the skills the way they want. this stuff would make it more appealing to players to take queues like this and play the way they want instead of stepping into someone elses DCed shoes.

That sounds like a better idea for sure. The person joining to help would also have to get some kind of loss prevention or minimized loss, since they are willingly joining a potentially lost match. Perhaps not loss prevented, but maybe decrease the loss impact based on the gold difference between teams at the time of joining.
