Skin Selection In-game

I'm not sure if this happens to anyone else, but often times i'll mean to select a certain skin only to realize once in the loading screen that I have the basic skin equipped. This really grinds my gears, especially right after I've just purchased a new skin. I swear sometime i'm even hovering over the skin i want when i go into loading. My suggestion would be to make skin selection an in-game task. similar to Kalista's black spear. Each summoner starting with a token that can be used to buy/select the skin of their choosing... i'm hoping you guys at riot can make an improvement like this.
