Hey summoners,

It has been a few days that the High Stakes theme has come out and having bought the Morde skin I was just a little bit dissapointed by the fact that it doesn't have the same appeal that the splash art/loading image shows. It really has a shiny light green that I really like but as you can see in the 3D model, it's pretty plain and blends a bit too much with summoner's rift.

My suggestion is to light up the model and meets what the splash art really shows. (or alternatively darken the splash if it's too much to ask) Thanks :)

Lighting in splash is a bit different than in game. The promo itself has in game shots, so you can see what it will look like when you load in. :]

But he is King, why doesn't he 'shine' in game ? Morde has always always had a dark theme, with this one I feel he becomes more of a 'Light bringer', he's no more a vilain, he's a powerful righteous king, like Aatrox or Varus.

I have a small concern about his weapon, it seems too small and the lack of other 2 "arms" makes it look 2D. Also this skin model seems to make Morde smaller compared to base look and other skins.

The spalsh is bright because if you didn't notice, light is directly shinning onto him.

Does that mean the splash doesn't reflect in game ? But that's nonsense. Every splash art should reflect reality(its ingame look). That's why Riot darkened some classical splashes, am I wrong ? (ex: lee sin)

I am too, but I can see the green colour, and him being 'King' should reflect some 'shine' if I may. item 3157

The splash is basically the same as the model.

The lighting is just a little bit different.

Where is the "shiny light green" that you are seeing coming from?

Sounds like a bait and switch to me... I love yah, Riot, but you gotta monitor your Splash Artist's to in-game artist's deviations more closely. This isn't the first time. Clearly subjective... clearly composition and lighting and POV and all those lovely things that make good art great must be used with great responsibility. ;)
