Zac's Skills Scaling With Champion Size

I think that it would be cool (and make sense) if Zac's skills scaled with champion size. For example, the range and AoE of Elastic Slingshot would increase when you are bigger as would the AoE of all of his other skills, likewise they ranges and AoEs would decrease when you are low on HP. It would also mean that when you are on low HP you are less powerful, as your current health changes your champion size. I think this would be good because it would add a new depth to playing Zac and it would make watching your health bar more important. It would also add some interesting choices to itemization and make Elixir of Iron even better and a viable option earlier on in the game. Gage would also be an interesting item, as it makes your champion grow in size when it activates. Zac item 2138 item 3053

Frankly this seems really annoying more than anything. You'd have to constantly keep track of about ten different ranges ( that are significantly different ) that you can swap from arbitrarily at any time based on actions that aren't even your own, not to mention that if they scaled directly with size you'd get some pretty ridiculous ranges while large and some pretty shitty ones while small.

I just can't imagine scaling something so ingrained to a champion's feel like range being tied to something so fickle as health total, and also tying it into something that fairly unpredictable in a messy fight like Sterak's is asking for more trouble with that issue. When something changes range, it should be because something notable - and, preferably, something controlled by the player - happened, not just because you bought Sunfire or got hit by a Xerath Q.

Lets just forget about logic here, lets just look at this from a game play perspective. If you are a lane Zac, how would this mechanic effect your laning? Muscle memory means you know what the range of your abilities are without needing to think. If my Stretching strike is too long, I could hit minions I didn't mean to hit and lose out on CS/push the lane. If my Stretching Strike is too short, I could miss minions I am trying to hit or miss the enemy champion. So now, not only do I have to be aware of everything that goes into the laning phase, but also the size of my character? I always have to be scanning over my abilities to see what range they are at before I use them? It is a great idea in concept, but in practice, it would ruin lane Zac and probably result in MANY cases where you die because you expected your ability to hit when it didn't.

Neat idea, but I'd bet it'd backfire more often than not; and delay his late game even more.

If nothing else his sling shot would be super fun late game.

A better way to implement this would be to adjust zacs spells to measure from his models edge instead of his center.

That would make him stupidly broken.
