[Champion Concept] Benedict - Priest of the Wayward Order
Alright I have been meaning to create something along these lines but I could never get the idea right. I am throwing this EXTREMELY rough draft at you for improvement/ideas. If I get positive feedback I will release the entire thing to the best of my ability.
I do have lore and all the superficial things in mind but not officially in writing yet. Basically The Wayward Order is an order of ancient priests that claimed they were given a purpose to dispose of the evil in the world. Benedict is the last remaining priest of the Order and he is determined to fight as long as he can so the world will be a purified place. Among his "crusades", Benedict stumbled across The League and felt the presence of evil among many of the champions. Feeling his sense of duty, he entered the league to purify The League of these evil doers.
I got this idea from a multitude of other champion concepts (No stolen ideas just... Inspiration.) Also Credit to the show BLEACH, using artwork for visual ideas.
My idea behind this champion was someone who looks to purge evil through him taking on the responsibility of a higher power. He acts mostly like a Priest of the Catholic denomination. Though his ultimate is a cluster of Heavenly power and mighty holy destruction. I wanted this champions ultimate to be the champion, although other abilities are nice for overall gameplay, The ultimate makes the champion in team fights and allows him to be a bruiser like we all used to love.
Anyway here is a very, very rough idea
Old man bearing robes with a book in his off hand and a walking stick in his main hand. He is a melee champion who pokes and prods with his staff for attack animations. When under the effects of his ult, he would bear similarity to the pictures included. Very muscular and in shape but still bearing the wisdom (and looks) of his years.
Position : Fighter Mage
Plays mostly like :

Passive : Fear no evil
Benedict, through power given to him by his faith, increases his Armor, Magic Resistance, Health regen, and Mana regen a small amount (scaling with level). This effect increases for each enemy champion near him (working like
). All nearby allied champions gain the Regenerative bonuses of this passive (health and mana regen.)
My idea was for his beliefs cause him to have increased resilience, the more the enemy bears down on him, while inspiring allies to keep the fight alive! Hence the name "Fear no evil"
Q : The Order's Prayer (12/10/8/6/4 seconds)
Benedict recites a prayer from the Wayward Orders' book, channeling one second to smite all enemies within a short ranged cone for (x/x/x/x/x magic damage + (x% ability power)). Able move while channeling the prayer. Acts like a cross between
Q and
E.
W : Will to Live (20 seconds)
Benedict remembers his holy quest to continue to fight on the evil forces. Benedict puts a heavenly mark on a target, if that target is hit by an attack, they are healed (x/x/x/x/x (x% ability power)) over 4 seconds and the mark is consumed. This ability does have an extensive cool down. Use wisely!
E : Exorcism of the Wayward (18/16/14/14/14 seconds)
Benedict targets the evil in an enemy. He places his hand on the target and performs an exorcism, stunning the target for 1 second and dealing (x/x/x/x/x magic damage (x% ability power)(x% attack damage)) after the exorcism is completed. Benedict is pacified while he is performing the exorcism (effectively stunned for the duration as well). Benedict can be CC out of the "channel" (although there is no channel bar) This ability will have high damage upon completion (so it is worth the self CC)
R - Ultimate : Holy Wrath (90/75/60 seconds)
Benedict conjures a blade of heavenly white fire for 10 seconds. Gaining 450 attack range, 25/50/75% increased attack speed and his attacks while under the effects of Holy Wrath carve through enemies, dealing ( x/x/x + (X/X/X% attack damage)(X/X/X% ability power)) magic damage on hit to the primary target and (x/x/x + (X/X/X% attack damage)(X/X/X% ability power)) magic damage on hit to all enemies behind the target. Most like
E but with a steroid and a fancy twist.
In addition, chance on hit to leave a patch of fire in the area (relatively close to the enemy target), lasting for 5 seconds and giving vision of a small area. If Benedicts comes in contact with the patch of heavenly flame, Holy Wrath's duration will extend by 3 seconds. coming in contact with the fire consumes it. If a patch of flame appears in a brush, it will set the brush ablaze and give vision of that brush. Again, coming in contact with the fire (even in the whole brush) consumes the flames.
