Getting your main role in ranked matches

Hey everyone, first off I want to say that I love the changes that have come to draft pick matches - as far as choosing your roles and the whole pick/ban system. Sometimes, however, it feels like I get my secondary role a ton, when queue times weren't even very long. I think there should be an option in ranked solo/duo queue to accept a longer queue time and wait for an opening in your primary role. There's nothing more frustrating than getting filled to a position, and then watching the person who got your primary position feed and lose lane. Again, this would just be an option, not the standard, but I for one would gladly wait a few extra minutes to be able to play the role I want, and put my best foot forward.

Which is your first role?

This is something most players experience on a daily basis and of which I do as well. The most common problem is when someone get support in ranked and then they go “Why did Riot give me this” then leave in which this continues until you get support. Riot encourages dodging essentially and your Idea would definitely make my day and save time with trash team mates though the reality is that this most likely sould not be implemented.

The idea of 5 lanes to make you play those 5 lanes and if we had just lane based match making, it would take even longer than just 6 mins to find a game but around 20 +. Riot wants you to play a diverse roster of champions and in those roles and not just one trick like me. I had a game where I was in 5 champ selects with jg which then it gave me support, no one dodged at that point which pissed me off but thats life though it didnt make up for how bad our kayn was compared to my level of play. Doesnt gank for 20 mins, finally gets red kayn, wastes abilities before even getting into lane such as random Q and W for some reason, runs pointlessly into enemy team and dies, blames bot lane for feeding because thats what bad players do. Thats just a real example of my experience.

The idea is cool though lacks reasoning for Rito to do it. Thats why next season they said they would implement seperste rankings for different roles duch as you would be challenger for Jungle and Gold for ADC and etc

I can agree to this as well, if you are getting auto filled in a role you cannot excel in, I can hardly blame you for losing your lane. At the same time though if you are playing ranked and do not understand every role in the game and at the very minimum 1-2 champions per role, you should probably still be practicing in normals.
